Alright.RP:
Riven looked around the urban city park he'd literally fallen into a few minutes before, completely lost.
Melanie entered the city limits, looking around curiously.
First things first. Riven thought. Find a shirt.Eventually Melanie arrived at her dad's house. She entered without saying a word to him.
Riven's eyes were drawn to a crying girl. Fight the urge. But he couldn't. Too many years of being an angel lead his feet to lead him over to her. "Excuse me, miss, but are you alright?"Melanie stared out of the window of her new room in her new house in her new town, ignoring her dad's attempts at conversation.
"Are you sure? I my experience girls don't cry when everything's alright." Riven siad.Melanie smiled hesitantly back, and offered a halfhearted wave.
"Where are you trying to go?" Riven asked.Melanie laughed, and did the same, her note saying, HEY back.
"It's no trouble at all. In exchange, you can tell me where one can get a shirt around here." Riven siad.SMALL TOWN IN KENTUCKY.
Riven looked at it closely, memorizing it. "Ah. Here. This way." he said as he started walking, handing her her map back.REASONS.
Riven lead her to the street, glad for his days as a ship navigator, which made him good with directions.MELANIE
"Yeah, alright bye." Riven siad, mentally cursing himself at his mistake.Melanie glared. Some manners. she thought. Starting up a conversation then not saying goodbye. Her annoyance set her curtains on fire, and she quickly hopped up and retracted the flames. Note to self: Be careful what you feel.
"No problem." Riven said. Her dad answered it as Melanie chose to ignore it as she had everything in her dad's house that day.
Riven turned and walked, having no idea where he should go, still without a shirt."Mel! There's some guy here!" Her dad called up the stairs.
Melanie came down in annoyance. "You know very well, Dad that I don't know anyone here!"
"Yeah?" Riven said, turning.Melanie glared at her dad until he left, then walked to the door. "It's Melanie to you."
". . .Not exactly." Riven said."I highly doubt I'd ever be the most popular girl in school." Melanie said. "And weirdos are hard to forget."
"I wouldn't want to impose." Riven said.Melanie blushed lightly. "I'm not that pretty." she disagreed.
"Well. . .alright." Riven said, realizing he really had no place else to go.Melanie lightly hit him on the arm. "Shut up." she said, smiling playfully.
"Oh." Riven siad."Well seeing as I've got nothing else to do, come on in." Melanie siad, stepping aside.
"Alright, if you say so." Riven said."Well you're the one who's come up with this opinion." she siad.
"It's fine." Riven said, sitting on the bed.Melanie burst into a fit of giggles. "Stop it!" she shrieked in laughter.
Riven nodded. "Alright." he said. "You want me to. . .agree to let the. . .strange guy next door hug me. . .when I've known him for less than an hour?" Melanie asked skeptically through her laughter.
Riven shrugged. "Alright, whatevs. It doesn't really matter to me.""Alright! Alright!" Melanie said, laughing. "You can hug me, just stop tickling me!"
Riven raised a curious eyebrow, but stayed silent."Ok, you can stop now." Melanie said after a few seconds.
Riven shrugged. "Don't know. I was hoping you could finish the sentence.""Oh, now it's gold." she said sarcastically.
