Banned and Challenged Books discussion

I thought it was really good and liked Death being the narrator. He was very witty and almost funny.

I didn't know that this book was banned! Do you know why? I thought that it was a fantastic book and I loved the uniqueness of the narrator (though his frequent interruptions with mini-lists were a little annoying). But still, it was such a sad story and pretty intense at times, but I would think that far worse stories have been written regarding Germany/Nazis/holocaust.
