Rory was at a Friendly's with her family when she saw a small paparazzi. She told her mom and her relatives she'd be right back. She walked out and turned to the small group of camera people." Go away! I'm trying to have a pleasant time hear!"

One of them spots her cousin, Drake, watching them. Drake is 17. The cameraman asks," Hey Rory! How's your friend?"

" He's my cousin! Go away!" She walked back inside.

They left.

Rory and her family left. Rory went to the park. She was doing a concert there the next day.

Alex walked around the park looking for something to do

Rory saw Alex.

Alex stopped at the bond and started to skip some rocks on it

Rory walked closer and sat down across from him.

Alex turned aroun and noticed her "oh, um, hello" he said

" Hi."

"um, so what is your name?" he asked

" I'm Rory." Rory said. She looked at the ground.

"oh, thats a cool name, i'm Alex" he said sitting by her

" Nice."

"yeah, so uh, whats up?" Alex tried to make small talk

" Nothing much. You?"

"not much" he said looking down

" So, whatcha doing here?"

"escaping the paparazzi"

Rory smiled." Me too. They follow me everywhere."

"it gets so annoying" Alex smiled back

" Tell me about it. I take every chance I get to get away from them."

"yeah" Alex said and nodded in agreement

Rory was glad to talk to someone who understood.

"so are you one of those new singers i keep hearing about?" he asked with a smile

" Yay."

"thants cool, so am i" he said

" Awesome."

"so how is like being famus?"

Derek sat up in a tree. It is right on the side walk. He enjoys being known but not by the camara monsters as he thinks of them by the nickname he gave the little mob.

" It's alittle new to me, but I like it all the same."

"yeah it's fun most of the time, but others times it makes you wish you were normal"

" Yay."

"so..."

Rory looked at the ground.

Alex looked at the pond

" So... Do you play? An instrument."

"drums and alto sax" he said looking back at her

" Cool. I play guitar."

"thats cool, i tried to learn, but my fingers are to big for a guitar" he said

Rory smiled.

Alex smiled back

Rory remembered she needed to go in a couple minutes. Practice for the concert. The concert!" Hey, I'm having a concert her tomorrow. Wanna come?"

after a few hours derek came down from the tree and just walked around bored.

"oh sure that would be great, i would love to come" Alex said with a smile

" Thanks." She looked at her watch. She had four minutes to get to the studio." I need to go. See you at the concert." She got up and began to walk away.

"ok, i'll see you there" He waved goodbye to her.

Rory ran to her brothers waiting car. He was there to take her.

Rory had on a cow girl hat and cow girl boots. She was singing country tonight.

Rick, her oldest older brother, patted her on the back." Good luck.

Alex walked through the front door and sat in a front row seat waiting for the concert to start

Rory grabbed her guitar and stepped on to the stage.

The crowd cheered.

Rory sat down on her stool and said into the mike," Hey everybody. You ready for some music?"
