I am still enjoying the book! There is continuously something going on to keep you interest. I was shocked at Athos's story of his past. Also I am not liking D'Artagan for being in love with Madame Bonacieux then Lady Clark and using Kitty.

Gaijinmama | 17 comments Yeah, poor Kitty! D'Artagnan has no compunction whatsoever about using her. If a guy behaved that way in reality we'd call him a dawg!

I can't help liking Milady, though, she is such a nasty little vixen (and like most women in that position she has good reasons in her past for being that way).

Gaijinmama | 17 comments Definitely a victim or rather, a survivor. I she's surviving in the only way she knows how. I like her line (paraphrasing here) something like, "I do not cry. I get vengeance!"
Can't help myself. I like Scarlett better than Melanie in Gone With the Wind too. And I cheered for Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction.
The evil characters are often so much more interesting.
