Zabina flitted into the living room. "Zeph?" She called out, going to the kitchen.

"Yeah?" Her brother called back. "What's up?"

"Nothing, just wondered whether you'd got back yet," Zabina shrugged, getting herself a drink. "Now, I don't know about you, but I'm going to go get ready," she stated cheerily, taking her drink with her to her room.

"Ready for what?" Zephyr asked as she walked past him.

"For the dance. Brae's coming to pick me up later," she smiled. "Be a good little twin and let me know when he gets here?"

Zephyr rolled his eyes. "Only by about five minutes," he muttered. "But sure, I'll let you know," he nodded.

((Brae doesn't yet have a dorm, but, I am working on it... so, let's just say, he went and got ready and now he's here.))

Brae knocked on the door, fixing his tie for a brief moment. He wasn't much of a formal person. But he remembered having to wear a uniform at his last boarding school, and he liked this place much better. He looked around the tree house, noticing that he had messed up his black shoes from climbing up to the house.

Zephyr went to get the door, calling to Zabina, "Your date's here, Zab."

"Just give me a minute. Squire's sleeping in my shoe again!" She called back whilst trying to gently coax a squirrle out of her shoe.

Brae looked around, spinning so that he could see the entire thing, or as much as he could. "This place is...wow..."

"Yeah, it's not exactly normal," Zephyr nodded. "But it suits us. I'm Zephyr," he added.

"Thank you, Squire," Zabina told the squirrel as she finally got her shoe back. "Hey," she smiled, walking out to them.

"Nice to meet you, Zephyr." Brae said, looking over at Zabina. "Wow..."

"And you," Zephyr nodded, glancing over at his twin. "All set?"

Zabina blushed softly, bowing her head modestly. "Thank you," she smiled at Brae. "But you, you look like a true English gentleman," she complimented.

Brae blinked a few times, and looked up at her brother. "Sorry, I'm Brae by the way." He knew he didn't sound like a gentlemen by saying that. He turned his attention back to Zabina and held out his arm.

Zabina smiled, taking his arm. "I'll see you later," she told Zephyr.

Zephyr nodded, "Have fun," he smiled.

Brae felt his grin widen. "I'll take good care of her." He said, before he started pulling Zabina along.

Zabina grinned as she went with him. "So I take it that you found the house alright?"

Brae tilted his head, nodding. "Yes, it's very big." He added, with a small smile.

"All the splinters I got as we made it were worth it in the end," Zabina laughed lightly. "What of your home?" She looked at him, smiling.

"Well... it's on the other side of the earth." Brae said, smiling.

"So was my first home," Zabina nodded. "What's it like?" She looked at him interestedly.

"It was home..." Brae answered, unsure of what to say. "Everything was a mystery."

"Home is where the heart is," Zabina smiled softly. "Why was it a mystery?"

"My ancestors... it's a long story, and I promise I will explain." Brae replied, running his free hand through his hair.

"I'm going to keep you to that," Zabina nodded.

Brae nodded, smiling a bit more. "Okay, to the dance then?" He asked, changing the subject.

"To the dance," Zabina nodded, flitting them there.

Zabina appeared in her room supporting Brae. "It's okay," she said as she gently lay him down on her bed. "I'll be right back, I'm not leaving you," she assured him as she quickly went to get some water.

Brae squeezed his eyes closed. He couldn't say anything else. All he could feel was the snappin of his bone, shifting was the longest process ever. He let out a scream of agony and gripped Zabina's bedding.

Zabina was at his side in an instant, fussing over him and trying to take the pain away.

Brae felt the pain shift away from him, but after a few moments it was so unbareble, he blacked out.

((I got it last year ;) ))

"Brae?! Brae!!" Zabina shouted, trying to get him back. Try as she might, nothing she did to try and heal him seemed to make any impact.

Brae saw colors first. They swirled around creating weird images. Then fire, the hot blaze seemed to burn him in this dream. He knew it wasn't real, but it felt real.

Zabina clung onto his hand, hoping that he would know she was there, that she hadn't left him to suffer.

((I'm good :) finally finished with school!!!))

Brae looked around, things began to get fuzzy and he swore he could hear his name. With that his eyes snapped open, but they weren't the normal color. Thy were bright yellow.

((I got two exams tomorrow :s
But yay for you!! XD ))

Zabina sighed in relief that he'd opened his eyes, but tensed again with worry as she notices their colour. "Brae, what's happening?"
