Roger Zelazny discussion

NPR has a segment today written by author Howard Andrew Jones (whose name I recognized from The Desert of Souls) about his love of Zelazny's Amber series. It is a brief piece, but it's nice to see Zelazny mentioned in non-genre media, and the author is clearly a devoted R.Z. fan.

It is a good Article, it reminds me of how much fun it was to read the Amber Chronicles.

I'm reading entries in Complete Amber Sourcebook right now. I've read that it isn't completely true to Zelazny's vision, but I don't know exactly where it strays.

It's rather funny, actually. I just started re-reading Amber not too long ago. I don't know how anyone who has ever read the series could not be in love with the idea of walking through shadow. :)

I kind of liked the idea behind the "Trumphs." That was kind of cool, though maybe not new. Tarot Cards that take you somewhere...literally.
