Candiss (tantara) | 12 comments NPR has a segment today written by author Howard Andrew Jones (whose name I recognized from The Desert of Souls) about his love of Zelazny's Amber series. It is a brief piece, but it's nice to see Zelazny mentioned in non-genre media, and the author is clearly a devoted R.Z. fan.

The Pirate Ghost (Formerly known as the Curmudgeon) (pirateghost) Great Article, thanks for posting the link.

Jim (jimmaclachlan) | 979 comments That was a fun read. I don't know why I didn't notice this earlier. Thanks, Candiss - & Hugh for bringing it up on my feed.

The Pirate Ghost (Formerly known as the Curmudgeon) (pirateghost) It is a good Article, it reminds me of how much fun it was to read the Amber Chronicles.

Jim (jimmaclachlan) | 979 comments I'm reading entries in Complete Amber Sourcebook right now. I've read that it isn't completely true to Zelazny's vision, but I don't know exactly where it strays.

Eric Benoit (elmseeker) | 1 comments It's rather funny, actually. I just started re-reading Amber not too long ago. I don't know how anyone who has ever read the series could not be in love with the idea of walking through shadow. :)

The Pirate Ghost (Formerly known as the Curmudgeon) (pirateghost) I kind of liked the idea behind the "Trumphs." That was kind of cool, though maybe not new. Tarot Cards that take you somewhere...literally.
