I have no idea but I love it! I think Twilight set off the craze.

aside*from*writing (asidefromwriting) | 20 comments I suppose - would Harry Pooter count as a paranormal - is it another JK Rowling trend?

Stephanie Meyer and JK Rowling should team together and make a vampified harry potter

message 17: by Hayley (new)

Hayley Waters (hayleywaters) | 53 comments My favourite genre: Erm... I'm not entirely sure. Definitely Young Adult, and I enjoy dystopian, paranormal, fantasy (in all it's forms), contemporary... though I have a slightly disturbing amount of 'End of World' books.

The guy who plays edward in Vampires Suck can play him haha!

message 21: by Melanie (new)

Melanie Cusick-Jones (melc-j) Hermione would be unstoppable if we 'vampired' her up - with that super girl power she'd truly rock the literary hunger games

Michael Cargill (michaelcargill) | 372 comments Hard to say really. Thrillers I guess. Stephen King is my favourite author and his stuff isn't really horror as such.

I have to confess; I had never even heard of paranormal romance until I joined Goodreads. It seems such an odd mix of genres.

Does it help that I didn't even know what the term YA was before I joined goodreads?
