What do you think of Johnlock? (Meaning John and Sherlock as a couple) There are a lot of things hinting in the show that they like each other. Do you like this couple? And what do you think of it?

I love Johnlock, but I also love Sherlock with Irene.

It's the ship that sails itself.

Oddly enough it sounds rather gay in a way. You know, I like John so much better than Sherlock because he's more understanding, kind-hearted and friendly.

It sounds like you mean they are like a gay couple.

A vast majority of the Sherlock fandom believes that John and Sherlock are a gay couple, though they may not realize it yet.

It's a couple that people "ship" when you ship it it means you support it. The point of this topic is to see your opinion on it.

Why? Just stating it's terrible isn't very interesting.

Don't worry, it gets less weird and creepy the longer you think about it until it becomes so normal that you don't understand how anyone else could think otherwise.

But you remember Katniss and Peeta's relationship in Catching Fire? I would think John and Sherlock are kind of-ish like that. They'll sleep together and comfort each other. It's a more emotional relationship than physical relationship, which is what I love most about the John/Sherlock dynamic. It's so much more deep than lust, it's TRUE FRIENDSHIP AND TRUE UNDERSTANDING AND IDEK

I totally agree with Laura, I feel like John and Sherlock are meant for eachother--but not necessarily in sexual terms.

I think making Sherlock and Watson a couple would ruin the dynamic of the relationship. They have a very powerful connection and each makes the other a better person. I'm not sure why deep friendship between two men must necessarily be sexual. It's such a narrow view of the endless possibilities. I prefer to think of them as "brothers in arms" -- men who develop an intense relationship based on shared experiences and struggles. As Watson is a veteran of war, this type of comradeship with men would be quite commonplace and something he'd miss.

I definitely agree. Although I don't have a problem with John and Sherlock becoming a couple, I can also see their emotional relationship being strong.

It shows stable relationships between two men that rely on each other and are willing to put up with each other's flaws because they care for each other that deeply.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with seeing them as a couple. The fans (specifically the shippers) are just having fun with their fantasies and are not hurting anybody.

It doesn't matter to me and I'm perfectly fine with seeing them as either a couple or strong friends.
