As you can see I really like the band Rise Against. My tastes have varied over the years and I like variety. Went through a brief phase where I was into rap(loved Wu-Tang)but not so much anymore. Love Punk. Still love classic Rock like The Doors, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix. Also went through a little Raver phase there back when I was in high school, but thank God I'm over that. Used to be a huge fan of Korn, loved thier first two albums but I hate everything they did after that. I think I have to say that I will always LOVE Nirvana. Kurt Cobain was awesome. LOL.

I think as we start to go grey one of 2 things happen....you either start to reminisce about the good ol days or you keep up with the now. I have probably 1000+ songs on my ipod and it ranges from classic rock, hard rock, rap, country, jazz, easy listening, pop....well you get the picture! i can guarantee you though.....i have absolutely NO techno on there as enough things in my life give me a headache i dont need music to do that as well! I have to say i do get my groove on when songs like "im sexy and i know it" or "Moves like Jagger" come on! im one of those people that will sing in my vehivle and get laughed at at red lights when a good tune comes on! eh you only live once right and ill enjoy every moment i can!!! lol
LOL...little off topic here, but I was thinking we should do a review of songs that are about vampires.
Oh lord.....LMAO! Ummmm i have a hard time remebering song names and artists let alone what the songs are about!!! lol I'm thinking i would absolutely be no help on that topic but im sure ill find it interesting! WEnt out a few times with friends to the bar and they had "name that tune" well lets just say i was always a detriment to the team!!! lol
I listen to mostly everything, country, pop, blues, even rap & oldies with some exceptions but the only time I really listen to music is when I'm at the gym working out, so daily, but I tend to listen to more talk radio when I'm driving.

I used to listen to audiobooks when I drive, but don't do it anymore cause it's hard for me to concentrate on my driving and listen to the book at the same time. LOL.

Rayna wrote: "huh.....your tastes surprise me RJ...i like them, some are great songs!"Why are my tastes surprising...is that a good or bad thing? Actually, before I went into teaching I managed a video/music retail store for about 10 years.
good thing, its funny how you picture people in your head, and well ive already described my english teachers to you.....and they never would have listened to music like that....lolSo it was refreshing.....i meant no offense :)
OK..so I guess you wouldn't imagine me going to the Warped Tour either...which I've done for the last three years in the 90+ degree weather of Florida summer. I do listen to other stuff too...I have 80's / 90's music, classical, pop but I love my alternative and "light" metal. I just can't do rap or traditional country.
Okay again, I agree- mostly. I grew up listening to country George strait is still hot! And I can do some rap- love snoop dog;) My fav's are alternative and 'light' metal as well.

Thanks guys. I like some Johnny Cash, George Jones, George Straight, Conway Twitty and Alot of older Country too Thanks to my family and being forced to listen to it when your young it starts to grow on you. Its crazy to think about how far we all are from one another and still have lots of the same interest in music books and ect. I remember when I was younger I went to connecticut and all most had a heart attack because they didnt have a county music station on their cable. For the longest time I believed that only southerners listened to country but came to learn other wise. I gues the closed mindedness comes from growing up in a small town.
nope we even listen to it way up here......some of my favorite artists are John Micheal Montgomery, George Strait, Toby Keith, Brooks & Dunn, Terri Clark, Rascal Flats....oh there are more too! Thats all i listen to at the office.....big country junkies i work with...lol
