Just a wee question to talk about. Were there books you read when you were really young (or not so young) and reread later? Did you still love them?

This book is:
Hey guys hate to bother but I made my own story and I would love for you guys to check it out and comment on it and like it if you do. Please tell me what you think. There's 3 chapters out already. http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3...

When I was a child I loved this book,
and I have since read it again as an adult. It's simply written but still holds up. I know see the author has added a few more books to the tale. :-)
I read it in class when I was about 10 or 11 and I re-read it every two or three years! Still makes me cry, love it!!

Oh yeah!
Although, Cotton Candy would not have lived in Paradise Estate. That home came later. She would have been chilling in Dream Castle. :)
This is off the wall - but I owned almost all of the Nancy Drew books when I was in 4th/5th grade. We had a house fire when I was in 6th grade and because of smoke and water damage, we lost just about everything. I saved my stinky Nancy Drew series (which has aired out since then) and I saved the good and sturdy full length mirror I'd just gotten. I still have them both today! Thought maybe my daughter would read my Nancy Drew books, but she didn't enjoy them. (She's 12).So...thinking about parting with them. Don't know! Sigh...
I used to love reading Nancy Drew books and I would borrow them from my cousin. Eventually my cousin gave me her entire Nancy Drew book collection that she had. I still have them to his day. The Hardy a boys I used to watch the T.V show never read the books.

Astarte still rules in The City of the Mirage (BtGN)
So, I'm two books away from my 2013 reading goal. Anyone else close or already made it? I set a lowish goal of 45 books this year because I don't have a lot of time due to schoolwork. Hoping to make it. I started a book today & my school term ends Sunday, so I might have time to finish it & another one before the 1st. We'll see. Hoping to spend some of my free time in the next couple weeks getting caught up in my groups on Goodreads too.

My Mom us read aloud Watership Down. I am now 49 and have reread it at least 10 times. It is one of those books that had two plots. One for children and another for adults.

nonexistent. So whenever I did not have a book to read, I would reread and reread the series. After lots of research, she found even pristine copies like hers were not really worth anything. Sellers wanted first editions. She gave them to our niece.

There are 2 challenges. USA challenge where you must read a mystery, suspense novel based in every US State. It took me two years to finish that challenge. The 2nd challenge is where you do the same thing but with the original UN Countries. Many of us in the challenge expanded it to Countries of the World. It is great fun.

Hi! This year I came up with an idea. I'm buying paperback copies of my favorite indie books and giving them to: local libraries, used book stores, friends for Christmas and co-workers. If readers do that, it'll help indie authors. :-)

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Y5MGGNSHey guys, so the way I set up my first survey was not that great for actually crunching numbers (this is why english majors would make horrid statisticians), so if you would take this 3 question survey it would be incredibly appreciated!

Wayne wrote: "Just a wee question to talk about. Were there books you read when you were really young (or not so young) and reread later? Did you still love them?"I read classics like Sherlock Holmes or The Count of Monte Cristo when I was a kid and loved them. They were firmly set in a specific era so the language and style never dates on a re-read. With other books I find my tastes have changed, when I was pretty young (13 - 17) I was right into fantasy and now don't read it often at all. (Bar a few GoT books)
That's a question i was wondering myself recently. Digging through my book collection I found one of my all time favourites as a young girl. Never have i read a book so fast. I was pondering if I should read it again, or will it ruin the good memories I have of it? You make an excellent point though regarding classic books like Sherlock Holmes etc. Dracula is one I can re-read multiple times and it never ceases to entertain.
For fans of Clive Cussler Clive Cussler I'm listening to a cool interview with him. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/authorso...
Hi everyone! I'm new here and I'm hoping to find a book that I only know about the main story... Does somebody knows what it is?It's about a girl who is blind and falls for a man just hearing his voice. Then happens the marriage and she gets pregnant. One day she walks in his office and listen that he just wed for pity, and then she falls of the stairs...
I got interessed in the story and don't know the book ;(

Never heard of it but it sounds interesting. I even tried to google it and nothing came up. Let me know if you ever find out so I can add it to my list!
I have a group if anyone would like to join and talk about books with me. It is called "What is Life without books". I also have a book review blog https://alyscrusinlifeandbooks.wordpr...
I'm just wondering...Is there a day in the week when you nearly always buy your books?
For instance, is it a Monday because the working week stretches ahead and you feel the need for a pick-me-up?
Or a Sunday, when there's time to sit and read?
I used to think I always bought on a Saturday but I've realized I buy on all days.
