The YA Bloggers Book Battle discussion

I'm not sure how we could play this out exactly, but there are so many excellent series in YA nowadays, that I think this would make an excellent choice for a book battle. Series seem to be the big trend in all fiction genres, there is even a website (fictfact.com) that can help you keep track of the series you are reading. Perhaps we could do completed series, such as Hunger Games, Wicked Lovely, Twilight, Vampire Academy, etc., but 3-5 books in a series would be alot to read. The judges would possibly have to have previously read the series they are judging, or be able to read really quickly, lol. Just my two cents.

That's an intriguing idea. I agree it might be a lot of reading. :)

Actually, it seems there are so many new books coming out that already are part of a series (signed as a trilogy or whatnot when sold to the publisher) I almost want to see a "best stand-alone", LOL.
