Awake at Dawn discussion

Hi! Okay, I have a bit of an idea.. a guess on fact actually... of what I think Kylie actually is. I was wondering what everyone else thinks? I'm interested in what everyone elsee thinks.

Here is my theory.
So, we know that she:
1. can talk and interact with ghosts;
2. likes blood (vampire);
3. she has had a growth spurt including enhanced strength etc etc. (werewolf);
4. she has a knack for knowing what people are feeling and sensing when people are trying to calm her etc. (faerie);
5. and she is what they call a 'protector', so she only taps into her abilities when she protects someone.

My theory is that why she can't work out exactly what she is and why other paranormals can't read her is becuase she is a bit of.. everything. I don't know if there's a specific name for it or whatever, but I think that she is a paranormal with attributes of everything. That's why she's so rare. But what do you guys think?

I just reckon that, given what we know, it could be pretty complicated. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I agree. I really enjoy her series and I am probably in the minority as I like Derek.

I think she is a mixture of everything. She is so many different things. I really enjoy these books and cant wait to find out how they end!

Haha Carole, you are definately not in the minority... there are PLENTY of Derek fans out there ;) I'm one of them haha but I have to say that I do like Lucas too though haha I love the books too.. just wondering about 2 things Carole, how many of the books you have read? just the first two or have you read 'Taken at Dusk' (though I don't think it's out yet).. and what is your favourite part about the books?

Rebekah I'm glad you think the same thing as me! I think she is something of a chameleon, and I have read about that term too. Do you think that her ability to sort of tell how people feel (without being like Derek and ACTUALLY feeling them) is another ability? Something that is unique to her?

Loved these books! I am pretty sure Taken at Dusk is out so I cant wait to find out. I have no idea what she could be. A rare paranormal or angel

I can't wait either! but yeah, I think we definately know that she is rare, I don't think angel, but definately rare :)

i have this ridiculous thought that daniel's father was part fairy and werewolf while his mother was part vampire and witch... heheeh

Maybe I think she's an experiment with the blood of all the supernaturals perhaps ? Because the Vampire that took Kylie one time had two attributes of supernatural. So maybe ...

'Taken at Dusk' is already out. i wont tell you when or how. but she thinks she know's what she is. in taken at dusk......but seeing as she's been wrong before, i think you guys could be right. about the whole vamp\Fairy\Were thing

yeah but I think that, seeng as Daniel (Kylie's father) said that's what his mother said, I think it'll be right. besides a chameleon fits. how she can drop and change brain patterns (to fit in or go unnoticed?) and has a bit of power from everything.
Well, she hasn't got full control over anything yet but.. you get my drift..
