All right! *cracks knuckles* Let's get down to business. Each planned Games is going to have a set timeline, and I'm going to tell you about it here. The first annual Hunger Games (and each one following it) will come in three parts.
Part 1: Game Prep: Announcements marking the arrival of Game Prep will be made. Over a period of three weeks, everyone will be permitted to create a character for the Hunger Games. Only one, mind you. If all character spots are filled before the three weeks are up, then we'll break off and start Part Two early.
Part 2: Finishing Touches: Announcements marking the end of Game Prep and the beginning of the Finishing Touches will be made. Now, if spots are left, people will be given the option of making more characters (up to three) to avoid having too many nameless faces. Tributes we know for a fact are participating in the Games will have their fifteen-minute private sessions with the Gamemakers and interviews with Caesar Flickerman. This period will last for one or two weeks, depending on how lucky we get.
Part Three: Action!: Other tributes created during the Finishing Touches period will have their interviews and private sessions. Any other tribute spots open will simply be filled with 'Tribute Male' or 'Tribute Female', and these unnamed characters will be killed off during the bloodbath to make room for the real fun. Then, us Gamemakers will plan the arena and the Games will officially begin!

The Games Yes, the Games will also have a set timeline. It's really very simple though:
Part 1: The Bloodbath: Everybody knows what this is--the first battle of the entire Hunger Games in which tributes totally massacre one another! And yes, tributes must die here.
Part Two: Midway: This period lasts from the bloodbath until the final eight. If everyone follows rule five (Rules of Roleplaying) we should actually get to end this period without me having to force you to kill off some tributes.
Part Three: The Final Eight: When we get to the final eight, the next deaths will be decided diplomatically, using polls. Like so:
We've reached the final eight. Who do you want to die the most?

From there, the tribute with the most votes will be killed--and then the process will be repeated six more times until we have a victor.
Side Note: Sponsor gifts - Members of this lovely group (character or no character) are going to have the option to send gifts to their favorite tributes (if you have a tribute, you cannot send them a gift.) Each person can only send up to three gifts (so use them wisely!) and no one person can send the same tribute more than one gift (just to make sure one favored tribute isn't completely showered with prizes and the others neglected). If you'd like to send a gift to a tribute, contact me or Fae with one of these completed forms and we will arrange for them to be sent:

Gift: Is it food or water? Medicine? A weapon? There are no shortage of things to send your favorites; let us know what you want to give the lucky tribute.
