Hmmm, really? I reread it and found the opposite to be true: the book was still slow and frustrating in some parts (and very annoyingly depressing) but it was beautifully written, I think. Can you give specifics as to what you didn't like?

Well, read it again. Katniss does so much more than hide in that book.

This book annoyed me. I thought that it would have ended a lot better than it did, and she definitely disappointed me.

Well when I reread the trilogy I was able to appreciate the book and ending a lot more. It made so much more sense, not as good as the first two but I still liked it!

The movie COULD be good, but....

I liked the last book, although a few problems I had:

1. She literally made it nearly impossible for any sequels. She was DONE after this book. She killed off any other character that could've made it a sequel, lol.

2. The "living" bow was just random and didn't really come up much.

3. Suzanne, you need to learn to FORESHADOW, not just tell us this is going to happen later. I saw the Prim thing happening ALL the way back near the beginning of the book because she literally told you it in an "offhand way" if you can even call it that. She did this with the other two too...

How is the first one a problem? I can understand the second and third. Though. I didn't see the third coming as much.

Kay, here it goes. I thought the book was great, but in the beginning, I could see Katniss becoming like Bells in New Moon (sucky series, unfortunately) and I was so thrilled when Collins managed to kind of turn her back around, but why? Why not let her wallow in her own self-pity. She doesn't do it for Gale, she's mad at him for more than half of the book and she didn't do it for Peeta, he's not even there. Maybe it wa because Collins decided that that's just not Katniss. But still, I'm iffy on that.

(view spoiler)[ I don't think it's fair how Finnick died. I couldn't believe it, he'd been through hell and had only just found happiness by marrying Anna, and then BOOM, he's dead. Leaving Anna alone with her sadness and raging hormones. It was a what da fuck moment for me and I definately almost cried.

Also, I didn't like how Gale isn't in her life anymore by the end of the trilogy. I can understand why, of course, and I can understand why she chose Peeta, but I just couldn't believe that like that, Gale was gone and there was no contact between them. A lifetime of friendship down the drain. It was sad and abrupt for me.

The ending confused me, too. Katniss was, what? There was something Eric with her and I wishes they'd explained that better. I was so confused.

Also, my mom and I found something interesting about he book. We though about how they talk about how their ancestors were like a democracy and how they were destroyed. Well, look at America. We're a democracy. What do you think Collins is going for? Maybe a warning to politics and such. (hide spoiler)]
