What do you rate The Hunger Games movie, on a scale of one to ten mockingjay pins? Tell us here. (Ten is the greatest movie ever, one is the worst movie ever).

I say 8 Mockingjay pins. It was good, but it moved too quickly and didn't include some of my favorite parts of the book.
Okay, so some say it's barely pg 13, as in more R. I started looking at them crazy, but you have to consider the concept. And as a movie, I say 9. Because, for the billionth time. IT'S NOT THE BOOK. So I say the movie was great; it didn't make me wanna run in the corner and cry like PJ.
Yeah, what happened to his leg? Did it get a rocket ship to Pigfarts?Ok, now I'm just trying too hard hehehe... I'll save you the pain of more puns.
A few things:-They DID actually shoot the Avox scenes, but the movie was already like 2 1/2 hours long so they had to cut them out.
-I FOUND LOTS OF DETAILS OFF THAT MADE ME MAD!!!!!
(view spoiler)
I also didn't like who they chose for President Snow or Haymitch...
Overall, if I didn't read the book, I'd give it an 8...
BUT I DID so i give it a 6 1/2 for detail shut-outs, two wrong characters (although Rue and Effie were spot-on!), and a poor design for the dogs.
I did still enjoy the movie quite a bit though.
Well. I can understand a few of the changes like the pin. Madge wasn't THAT important. They did show Katniss with hearing problems I'm not sure how they could really portray her deaf in 1 ear? The dogs' eyes would have been hard. And if Peeta were to lose his leg then they would have wanted them to listen to Cato yet ripped apart by the dogs, which may have been 'too' violent and they had to keep it PG 13.I don't think anyone should complain about casting because that shall never be perfect. I loved it personally. But there's nothing anyone can do since they kinda already put them in the movie. =P

I forgot to put acceptable with hearing in the list of "complaints" lol. They don't have to show him physically LOSING the leg, but they could've shown him with his "replacement leg" because that's kind of important in the 2nd book too.
I shall complain about casting as much as I want until they get it right, LOL!
But you're right. I'm still not amending my score though. :P
Agreed, Sadiya.
Also, a cast will never be "perfect" because it can't fit everyone's headcanons. It fit all of my headcanons except for President Snow. But that's me.
The details they left out weren't really that important.

I try to stay open minded when it comes to books in movies because they will never ever live up to the book. =P
I <3 Clove's and Cato's and Glimmer's characters! Along with Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson as Katniss and Peeta. I love the way they had Haymitch say 'Sweetheart' a lot like in the book. =P

Alexander Ludwig, in my opinion, was the perfect Cato.

And Isabelle Fuhrman definitely looked like a Clove...

Yeah, she seems like a really cool person! And the casting was amazing!!!!!!!
Not going to lie, I found her death somewhat comedic in the book. Her tongue was lolling out and her arms were just dangling in the air as she was hoisted away.
When did it say that about her tongue? (And didn't all the dead tributes have their arms 'just dangling'?)
Yeah...but for hers I don't know why (they probably didn't say it) but that was how I pictured it...
ESPECIALLY after a friend read the book and showed me how FoxFace probably looked while she was being lifted away. That was the face I associated with her death and it made me laugh EVERY time, lol.
I thought it was sad. I was all "No! Her death has to be more heroic than that! She has to go down FIGHTING!" D:
But FoxFace never fought anyone or even killed people (as far as we know) so it would be out of character for her to fight.
Now I'm never going to take her death more seriously ever again.
