Gamers discussion

I freely admit that I'm not much of a modern gamer, but I still love so many of the classics. When I was growing up, RPGs were, to me, almost as good as reading, with their complex plots, detailed worlds, and so on. (But yes, every now and then, you need a side-scrolling beat-em-up for variety. ;) )

It was probably video games that influenced my love for fantasy - first reading, then writing. I read the books in more times than I can count. My friends and I played and replayed Kings Quest VI to death over the course of three years. My pen name is partially taken from a character in Phantasy Star III.

I haven't played too many recent games, though I do own a Wii. Maybe one day!
