Great! :D I was thinking maybe the brother could be like a popular jerk and stuff and he's always mean to his step sister because y'know he's popular and has a big image to up hold, then when he ses what a mess she is because her father abuses her, he starts to change, and that when the romace starts? I was thinking my girls father married your guys mother? What do ya think?

Name: Ashley Smith 'Ash'

Appearance:




Personality: Ash is a smart and intelligent girl, but she's also a sad and confussed and hurt girl. She is sweet to those she cares about and those who mean so much to her, which isnt very many anymore. She is often in distress and being hurt by people at school and her father when he gets the chance. After everything she has been through she never thought her step brother would hurt her, but no. He does, long with his mates from school and she doesnt know why.

History: After Ashley's mother died of a heartattack, her and her father had grown cloer and closer. After that, a few years after there mourning, he turned on her. Constantly hitting, whipping and bashing her. No sexual assult, jusy physical. Her father waits until no one is home and then he hurts her. Everything with her step brother just makes it worse. She has no one to turn to because she believes no one will understand. Not even her stop mother knows. She has learnt to shut out everyone, and it hurts. So, so much.

Name: Caleb Jacob Scoldelario

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Personality: He's your typical bad ass and is well known for his cocky and obnoxious behavior. He is hostile and the farthest thing from nonchalant along with a rebellious side due to his dislike toward authority figures. He can be a cold hearted person most of the time, but if you get to know him well enough, that soft spot that’s buried deep within might surface and his true colors might be exposed. But let’s face it-that won’t be happening anytime soon. That might injure his male ego.

Appearance:
Donovan is a tall and slender boy with perfect toned muscles. He stands at about five feet ten inches and his chocolate brown eyes portray everything, even when he desperately tries to hide it. He has creamy skin and a charismatic smile that is almost irresistible. His sandy blonde hair shows many variations because he is much too lazy to comb it out to perfection. He likes it that way, messy and disheveled. Along with that, Caleb has a scar leading from the crook of his neck down his right arm from all the street fights he’s been in.

History: Believe it or not, Caleb used to be a sweet and innocent young boy. That all changed when his father left the picture. From there, things stated going downhill for him. Caleb always found himself getting into trouble. He's been caught partying past his curfew several times and has been bailed out of jail twice, along with his history of starting fights. He was even considering joining a gang, but quickly talked himself out of that one.

Everything changed again when his mother fell in love with his now to be step-father. Along with that, there are now two new additional family members he has to put up with with. He wishes things could return to normal, hut that won't be happening anytime soon.

Sure :D Would you like to? I was thinking the start of school? And also, how long you on for?

Yeah, I'll start. I have softball practice this early morning at 10 and will be logging off around 8:45ish to get ready.

((In the next hour))

It was early morning and Caleb had woken up nice and refreshed for the morning. He had showered, gotten dressed and was ready to head out to take on the school day. The day before, his mother had stopped him early and scolded him for not waiting for his sister. He had scowled before replying that she took forever in the morning to get ready. The last thing Caleb wanted to do was wait for Ash. He couldn't care less about her and wanted to leave the house early to chat up a few of his friends. Why should he have to delay his social life for someone he didn't like? He quickly shook the scene out of his head before grabbing his bag and heading out the door.

As usual, Ash was up early. Earlier then most in the house. The only reason she wouldnt be quick in the morning was because her dad hadnt left. And if Caleb had gone, his mom was gone and it was just them. She was rady and waiting up in her room. As soon as she saw her father go, she ran down the stairs, pain going through her legs and back. Like usual. She moved outside and saw Caleb. She sighed softly, he'd never understand. No one would. She started walking to school and was there in a matter of minutes. She walked to her locker, trying not to look at anyone. She rubbed her bruised arm which she kept covered at all times. She opened her locker, tears forming in her eyes.

Glancing up, Caleb smiled as his friends stood on the steps of the school waiting for him. He greeted them and stared talking about the usual boy stuff; parties and girls. The conversation quickly came to a halt when he caught Ash enter the building from the corner of his eye. "Uh, I'll catch you guys later." He said and walked in behind her. "Why do you always look so depressed in the morning? Cheer up for once, will ya?" He said, not even bothering to look at her.

Ashley wiped her eyes, grabbing her books and closing her locker. She flinced, dropping her books when she heard Caleb's voice. She bit her lip, bending down and picking them up. She rubbed her side, it was painful, but she didnt want him to know. She was so used to cutting people off, she wasnt ready to let them back in. "As if you'd care why." She whispered, her voice barely audiable. She turned around, walkin to class, her head hanging down.

It was the same routine everyday. He'd try to talk to the girl but ended up with the same result day after day. He wondered why he even tried anymore. Girls. They could be so dramatic. On that note, he walked a few feet to his locker and exchanged his books for first period.
"Caleb!" He heard a voice call. He looked up just in time to see his group of friends from outside approaching.
"What's her problem?" Avery had asked as he cocked his head in Ash's direction.
He shrugged. "I don't know and I don't care." He slammed his locker closed and walked through the halls, laughing as the talked about how well their lives were going.

Ashley looked over her shoulder to see Caleb with his mates. She remebered how she was when she had so many friends.... then her mother died. She shook her head as she moved quickly to her classroom. She placed her books on the desk and sat down, resting her head on the desk too. She let the tears stream as her body ached with pain. She lifted her top slightly, a disturbing bruise starting from her hip and traveling up to her arm. She lowered her shirt, closing her eyes as she waited for the bell to go.

Saying their final goodbye's to their group of friends, Caleb and Avery walked into class together. They took a seat next to the window and watched as other students flooded in. Turning his attention away from others, he stared at Ashley, constantly wondering what her deal was. Her depressed state kinda made him uncomfortable and he wasn't enjoying that. He knew he had to turn her attitude around one way or the other.
"Dude!" Avery exclaimed as he slammed his hand down on Caleb's desk to get his attention.
"Oh, sorry!" He replied startled, as the bell had rung simultaneously. Great. Caleb could tell she was going to be a constant distraction for the remainder of the school day. Just what he needed.

Ashley's eyes followed Caleb and his mate as they walked in, taking there seats in the back. She tried to ignore the pain in her body. It was to much just to ignore it, but nothing would change the way she was. She was to fragile and tender, always being hurt. First by her mother dying, then by her father abusing her and now Caleb and his mates hurting her when they had the chance at school. She didnt know how much more she could take. She took a steady breath, clutching her stomach gently. She had to cough, but it hurt to cough or sneeze. She tried to hold it in, but she couldnt. Coughing slightly, pain shuddered up her entire body. She winced heavily, trying not to cry. She shifted in her chair, pulling out her notes.

((I'mm leaving the house now. I'll replay first thing when I return. BTW, are you from Australia by any chance?))

"What's gotten into you man?" Avery asked somewhat dumbfounded. Caleb didn't reply but simply pulled out his notebook and rummaged around for a pen. He told himself that he wouldn't look in his step-sister's direction again until lunch or the end of the school day, but he had a feeling he wouldn't be able to keep that promise. Looking up at the board, he copied down the algebraic equations that were scrawled up on the whiteboard and made his attempts at solving them. He could tell it was going to be a long, long day.

Ashley continued to write down all the things that she needed to and finished solving them in no time. You were meant to go up and show the teacher when you were done in order to leave the class. She bit her lip and managed to push herself up, her legs shaking. She moved over to the teacher with her book, showing them to her. Once Ash was given the OKAY she moved back to her desk, feeling her knees buckle under her, she fell to the ground in pure and utter pain, the teacher rusing her her side.

Everywhere she goes, she always has to cause a scene. Caleb thought to himself and slowly slid his hand down the side of his face. He turned to Ashley's direction and scowled silently to himself. He felt the eyes of the other students stare daggers at him. People knew they were related and it would be a brotherly thing to go and help out a sister if she were to get hurt. See, that's where they're wrong. Caleb doesn't consider Ashley to be a sister. Hell, they're not even biologically related! He gritted his teeth together as his face became flushed.

The teacher slid her arms under ashley's body and carried her to the nurses. laying her on one of the beds. The teacher went back to the cLass room. Ash let out a soft cry as the nurse examined her bruised and battered body.
''How did these happen?'' She asked softly.
''I was hit by a car.'' Ash lied. The nurse bought it. Thank god. Ash stayed in there until the end of first period. She was discharged the next. Leaving the wing, still in pain, the bruise was covering her entire side, legs too. She grabbed her history books and hurried to class, being the first one again. She slowly and painfully took her seat.

After the bell had rung, Caleb gathered all his books and ran around the building searching for Ashley. He found her entering a classroom and immediately followed after. Once inside, he closed the room door and locked it before approaching her. His face was blank and expressionless as he knelt beside her. "What is the matter with you? Why did you double over in pain last period and cause a scene in front of everybody? You know, not everybody needs your drama." He looked up and turned towards the door as a series of knocks followed a few turns of the doorknob. Caleb ignored them before turning his attention back to Ashley.

Ashley looked over at him, eyes following him until he sat down. She sucked in a breath. ''I... I'm sorry, its just this thing with my knee. It started a while ago and sometimes it just happens. I didn't mean to cause a scene. I can't stop it. '' she explained, her voice a soft, gentle murmur. She didn't look him in the eye once, afraid he would be able to tell she was lying. But one thing was true. She couldn't stop her father from hurting her. And she feared he would do something to Caleb or his mother if she told him.

He sighed and pressed a finger to his lip to silence her. "Why don't you just go home and take a break already? I'll come home during lunch and check up on you. I'll even miss practice just to make sure you don't collapse or anything while you're home alone." He couldn't believe his was offering to do this for her. He might as well act kind for once. Caleb just hoped she wouldn't turn this into a habit. He stood up and grabbed her forearm. "Are you going or what?"

Ashley shivered when she felt his finger press to her lips. She couldn't believe she was hearing this and that he was actually going to miss practice for her. She flinched when he grabbed her arm, having been it was her bruised one. She pulled her arm away quickly, remembering that he's father would be home, ''no Caleb, its fine. I'll be fine here, honestly. ''

He raised his eyebrows at her questioningly. "You sure about that?" He released his grip as she pulled away from him. "I don't quite trust your word on that statement. I hope you're not lying to me." He folded his arms a cross his chest and glanced up at the clock. There was no use arguing with her. Every time he did, she always walked away with a win. Caleb walked toward the door. Stopping short, he placed his hand on the doorknob and stared at his step sister.

Ashley bit her lip, ''I don't want to go home, not while my dad is there alone.'' She whispered, wrapping her arms around herself, '' you don't know what its like to go home after school, your with your mates, your mother is a work, its just me and dad, in the morning I wait for him to go before I show my face for a
split second because I know what's going to happen and I have no control over it, you don't know what its like.'' She whispered, tears falling down her cheeks.

"Wait. What? What are you talking about?" He asked moving away from the door. He took a seat in front of her and let the words sink in for a bit. "What's going on?" Caleb looked dumbfounded, completely surprised that she was telling him this. He ran his fingers through his hair as he watched her break down and cry before him. There was no way this was happening. It couldn't be...Impossible. "Ashley?" He said and he reached out to touch her face.

Ashley looked over at him, she couldnt believe she was telling him all of this, she had never said anything to anybody about this. She sucked in a breath, trying to calm herself down, "I dont have a knee problem," She whispered looking up at him, wiping her eyes, "My father has done this to me," She said softly, pushing herself up and lifted her top up slightly, her side was covered in a sickly purple bruise, sickly yellow parts scattered within, "It hurts to much to walk, thats why I collapsed," She whispered, looking up at him.

Caleb looked away in disgust. This was happening. He couldn't believe it. How could she keep a secret this big from him? That's right. Maybe if he wasn't so preoccupied with his friends, he would've noticed something sooner or later. "Let's go. We're going home right now." He said rather bluntly as he pulled her top back down, not wanting to see the ugly bruise that had found its place on her body. He took his sleeve and wiped away her tears before gathering her books. "We need to have a talk. A long one."

Ashley closed her eyes, looking down. She knew he probably felt hurt because she never told him, but how could she? He never cared about her at school or anything. She bit her lip, shaking her head quickly, "No Caleb! Please, I'm begging you, I dont want to see him, please dont make me do this, please!" She begged him, holding onto his arm so he wouldnt go. She didnt want to go home. She never wanted to go home, the only reason she did was so that if she was there, and her father knew that, he would hit and her hurt. Not Caleb's mother.

"Then what do you want to do?!" He yelled at her. "You just can't tell me all of this and expect me not to do anything about it. It doesn't work like that!" He stared at her, his breathing heavy and uneven. He never knew he could get so worked up over something like this.Caleb already felt like an ass for neglecting his sister, and she's making it worse since she won't let him do anything about it. He held his head and slumped against the wall before slowly sliding down. "What do you want do?" He asked before burying his head into his knees.

Ashley flinched as he yelled at her, "I wish I never told you!" She yelled back, pushing past him and walking as fast as she could. She unlocked and opened the door, pushing her way through the mob of people as they entered. She wiped her eyes, her vision blurry from tears. She left th school grounds, going to the park. It was where she and her mother use to go. Sitting down on the cold, damp grass under a large oak, she closed her eyes, gently leaning up against the trunk as she softly rubbed her bruised side. What was Caleb going to do know that he knew? She whimpered softly, wrapping her arms around herself.

Caleb simply shook his head. He didn't know why he tried or even bothered with Ashley sometimes. He stood up and watched her push through the crowd of students that only stared back in confusion. There was no way Caleb could finish the school day like this. He was agitated and the last thing he needed was a group of his friends trying to nose their way into his business. Getting up, he gather the books that were sprawled across the floor and headed towards his locker. He dumped the books inside and took out his cellphone contemplating whether to call Ashley. He decided against it knowing that she needed her space to think things through.

Ashley tilted her head slightly, biting her lip when she saw one of the teachers coming. She turned her head the other way, trying not to be seen, and luckily, the teacher just walked the other way. Ash pushed herself up, pulling out her phone. 3 missed calls from her father. She sucked in a breath, but didnt call him back. She didnt want to know him. Maybe she could run away. She'd be awy from her father and Caleb. Slowly, she walked back to her place. Seeing her father slip out and get in his car, she waited until he was half way up the street then out of sight before she went inside. Rushing up to her room, she pulled her suitcase out from under her bed, opening her wardrobe and grabbing her clothes.

Things were going just well. He had no idea where Ashley has run off to and at this point he Begin to panic, not knowing her whereabouts. What would his mother say? Better yet, what would her father do now that his precious little punching bag was gone? Caleb shook his head vigorously, trying to get the images out of his head. He had just left the school and was on his way home. Maybe he could just lounge around the house trying to see things through.God, please help her. Caleb prayed to himself. It wasn't everyday that a teenager would be put in such a situation.

Ashley stuffed her shoes, underwear and everything she could in the suitcase. She picked up photos of hr mother, her phone charger, a picture of her father, Caleb, her and Caleb's mother. She slowly sat down on her bed. She couldn just leave, if she would go, who knows what her father would do to her step mom. She looked at the time, her father would be at work for a while yet, but Caleb would be home very soon. There was no way she could get out without hurting herself of being caught. She took everything out of the suitcase and folding them up neatly, sliding them back into there proper place. She slid her suitcase under her bed. She had to stay. For her step moms sake. Ash had been going through this for ages, she was used to it, but it hurt her just thinking about what her father would do to that poor women who had done nothing to deserve it. After she was finished putting everything away, she slowly moved to the kitchen, grabbing a glass of water before sitting on the couch, pulling her laptop on her knees.
