message 46: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (soniamcarreno) | 1 comments Fahrenheit 451
Fahrenheit 451 brought readers into a world of complete technology. Books were scarce and so was intelligence. The main character, Guy Montag, longs for something more than what he is getting in his everyday life. He has no idea what he is seeking until he meets a young girl, Clarisse McClellan, who questioned the meaning of life itself. Montag's job is called a fireman but is quite different from those in society today. He helps burn books and when one woman decides to be burnt alive with her books as if they were a treasure, he can't help but be curious to why she loves those books so much. Throughout the story he reveals a collection of book he managed to secretly take when he was burning the rest. What is Montag seeking? A new meaning to life; knowledge. The real question is, does he find it?
