Here's our questions for week 3! If you haven't gotten very far into the book, these questions could be spoilers.




There are people who will do anything for power and Alvin falls into this category. Do you think Maddie will have the strength to stop him and do you think that Randall will be able to help her at all?

If you found out that you were a reincarnated Greek god, which do you think you would be? Do you think Maddie fits as Aphrodite?

I'm not sure about Randall. He's called a coward, but maybe a turnaround could happen.

I like this version of Aphrodite (with many sides to her.) I've actually given it some thought about Greek gods and really don't know who I'd want to be. Maybe a girl-version of Apollo?

Of course Maddie will stop him... wouldn't be a story otherwise, right? :) Randall has his own agenda - he's so happy to have her there (even though he orchestrated it without her permission) but he never tells her the whole story.

I don't know enough about pantheons to pinpoint which one I might be. As far as Maddie, I actually liked her better once I knew she was aphrodite - her actions finally made sense (as in, she's not actually a slut, just a very loving and sexual person).

I'm very excited to see how Maddie can handle Alvin. I'm thinking it'll be a battle of wits where Maddie will emerge victorious.

I'm definitely Athena: warfare, wisdom, handicrafts, etc. :-) NOT Aphrodite. Maddie as Aphrodite fits perfectly...it brings a lot of focus to her character. (Similar to what Bettina said).
