Everyone has hundreds of stories concerning teachers and the bad experiences we have had with them, especially ones we didn't like nor got along with.
For me, believe it or not, there were quite a few... But I have to say, one of them has the title of "Worst Teacher In My Life", the Spanish Social Studies teacher! I won't give her real name, for ethical reasons, but I'll call her Gladys, for practicity's sake.

Every class with her was horrible because she never taught us anything, it was just reading our Estudios Sociales, Irmina C. de Lezcano's ANCIENT books, and then complete the workbook. That´s it. We never even went over the answers in class to see if they were correct, she never answered any questions when we couldn't find an answer, all she said was "it's in the book". The only thing Gladys did was supposedly "read" our answers, and write down that we did the class work. This was the procedure in EVERY SINGLE CLASS.

We were all so tired of it that one day my friend Vincent and I thought up to do something. Since we suspected that she never read anything we wrote, we created a "code" that we would use in parts of our writing just to have PROOF that she didn't read our work. So, what happened? Nothing. She never realized that we were using different characters besides roman letters. When she checked our work and told us "very nice work", we cracked up laughing! Of course we told everybody else what we did, and the entire class was laughing at her, and she never even noticed!

What could the directors of our school have been thinking when they hired her? Nobody will ever know, I guess...

Anyway, I want all of you to tell me your experience with the worst teacher you've ever had. take the time to read other people's Stories and comment on their experiences too.

Well.. I had a lot of teachers that I can called "The Worst Teacher I've Ever Had". But I think I will talk about Computer Science, when I was in the High School in the first year of average, I had a teacher who was very smart and very kind with all the students, but He had a problem when He was teaching.

We supposedly are learning about structure and composition of the computer, so.. We had to learn about human-computer interaction, information science, information technology, algorithms. Those are we as student of BTI had to learn, but with this teacher corresponded only the part of the information science and information technology.

When we started the class with him, He started to teach about aplication of Microsoft Office(This isn't part of the teaching program in BTI, This is part of the teaching program in private institutes where you go to learn about Office), He had to have taught about the History and Evolution of the computers, the clasification of them, the part of them, What are their scientific names, the quality of the markings,etc. And all that year we spent the time in this not very important thing for BTI's students, but the worse thing was that we didn't know it, my classmates and I didn't know what the teacher would have taught. So we lost a year of classes in Computer Science. But I admit We learned a lot about Office because the teacher taught very well but he didn't taught the correct thing.

So, when We were in the second year of average, We had other teacher of Computer Science and in this grade We had to put into practice that we learned in the first year, and the new teacher said us assembling and disassembling the computer, but we never had heard about hard disk or RAM memory or Motherboard before and We told to the new teacher that we don't know about those thing and He asked What did you learn in the first year then? and we answered OFFICE and He explained us about the program and We were disappointed about spent the time in a thing that didn't had much importance for a computer technician.

Finally we learned about it in the second year but part of the things that we had to learn in that year We lost because of the short time. I think about it and I'm angry with this teacher who taught me about only Office and I would like to be again in the first year and learn the correct thing to learn more things in the second year.

Although never too late to recover the time to learn new things.

The Worst Teacher I've Ever Had, I remember when I was in high school, my artistic education teacher, she was a good teacher but we didn´t learn anything in her classes, because she sometimes came in the school, she always had an excuse to her absence. In the time when she stayed with us was too boring because she had passed talking with a group of my classmates about her life, relationship, etc.. we had our student book but we only did half of it until finish of the year.
We should have practiced to play the flute, but we never learned about the musicals notes and less to play any kind of musical instrument.
The other part that she never taught us is the “dance”, she did a project about different kind of dances, that we had to present in the final exam, supposedly she had to teach us during the class but she didn´t help us, when the presentation was coming we said her when is she going to teach us?, but she said that it is our responsibility, she didn´t have time but if we don´t present it she´s going to put “zero “in our exam, then as there weren´t enough time to practice well, so the only option was to invent a dance, and try to do the best. Finally in the presentation fortunately we danced well, but not all did the same.
There are many teachers like her, and those examples aren´t good for the students, I think the vocation to be a teacher is the most important and I hope those teacher not continue so, and they can form more good people for our society.

When I was in ninth grade I had a Literature teacher who didn't know how to use correctly some words. Personally I was so upset because of that, I didn't understand -and I still don't understand- how a LITERATURE TEACHER, a person who should be the best in writing and reading, used to conjugate verbs wrong; she also added some "s" where it was totally unnecessary. I always wondered what she was doing at a school, supposedly teaching.
She used to give us a lot of homework about grammar but, once I was staring her correcting our works and I saw some errors in my classmate work and she didn't correct it, all his work was fine.
I've never had another worse than her.
I wonder if the problem in this country is the teacher's formation or the educational system, maybe both.
I always considered bad teacher to the ones who don't teach us as well as they should.

The Worst Teacher I've Ever Had, hard decision! I've had a few, but I will talk just about one of them.
Last year, we had a new Ethics teacher. She looked kind and pretty, but I must say that all boys in my class "felt in love" with her! So they began to "court" her, asking if she had a boyfriend, her phone number, her personal life, etc, in EVERY class. But the worst part was that she paid attention to those questions and she talked all day long. We never had an entire class! And if that day was a miraculous one, she gave us questions but she only "read" our answers. I was bored to death with her stories about her gym partner that wanted to buy a new dog and the rest, so during the last six months I didn't used to enter her class. She never cared. I'd never done that before, and actually I didn't fell good for missing classes, but I couldn't bear this waste of time (or I couldn't bear her?), and no one in the classroom would support my claim, so I went to the library during her time.
By the end of the year, the director discovered that she stole and wasted all the money of the 8° grade and obviously, she was fired.
She wasn't very ethical at the end.

I agree with your final words, we can't wait a good education for the students while the teachers don't have the necessary education. I'm really sorry for Scout who even being a child in her fist grade she was bearing a person who doesn't have patience or experience to stay with children in a class. If there were better teachers, we'd had better students, better professionals and better society.

My teacher was exactly the same as yours!
As you said, there are many teachers like those, who don't care about if the students are learning something and how to teach. I think if you want to learn to teach, you must plan how to teach, and it's good if the teachers talk to students, but they musn't forget their duties. That's something I see a lot now, because it's boring when you aren't learning anything, you feel that you're losing time.
Something I don't like either is that some teachers think that we already know everything or it's easy to find the answers, when actually it isn't like that.

Well, we always have a teacher that we don't like. That's a fact!, can be their personality, their form to tach or something, I don't remember very well a teacher that didn't teach me, or I dislike when I was in elementary school, but I already traveled 3 diferents schools, so, I can say that "The Worst Teacher I've Ever Had"; I met her last year, She was my History teacher,oh, yes! I always like History, but that teacher made ​​me hate it, like the teacher Romina comment in her story, my history teacher always said: "here complete, the answers are in the book" or something like that, I mean, I hate class like that, I want the class to be dynamic. Only for complet she had sociology, history and ethics with us, was a nightmare!. My partners always said when was her time, no, I'm going to die there, is better go to sleep, so, in my imagination I did an effort for like her class. I hear about teachers of history, that they always are so quiet, but she was so quiet, too quiet! when She enter at the door, we feel, Uuuf!
So, I end the year with her, I can't say how, but I didn't learn anything,that I can say you that, beacuse we memorize a lot, so, that's not the objecive, the objective is to you understand what you read, I mean, I can learn by myself if she going to do that, is easy to read a book, but sometimes is difficult to understand,

Yes, I have a teacher know that is the same as your, He is our teacher of Informatic, but He didn't teach us about that, He teach us about Marketing,accounting, law, everything, but not about informatic, so, my partners said that He didn't know about informatic, and I don't know what to think, maybe they have reason, I don't know..

Well, I have an story that I really don`t like to remember but I`m going to said here.. When I was on 7º grade I had a teacher, a man who was the GUARANI TEACHER, he went at the school only a few time..And when he went he only said to us `` read your book and complete it``. .. Only the dedicated students did the work, and the others were playing all the time. More or less ten student of forty were working. I always t did all the works. We didn`t understand some of the work, and he said that he would explain to us, but soon was break, so he didn`t explained to us nothing… in the exam, it was difficult to us, because he didn`t explain the lessons, but I did the entire exam and it was right. I was so happy because he said who had 5 in the exam, and he said that I had 5.
When my mother and I went to see my notebook, I found a unpleasant surprise, I found that I had ``4`` in GUARANI, I was very angry, unhappy, and I started to cry. I felt angrier when I saw the other classmates who were all time without doing nothing at class, they had ``5``!!!!!!! I wanted to exploit,!!!! .
I talked with the teacher, and he said that I didn`t talk a lot with other classmates, that I was too shy, but I did not know what he wanted-!! We were at the school, I didn`t told a lot just because I was doing my work! I waiting for a real explication… Fortunately, he said that it was his error, that I had 5, and he changed the nota, and put 5, which it was my true note. But the deception that I felt was very big.
For me that was not good, but for others classmates were very good… because they didn’t do nothing and they received ``5``.!! All that makes me feel very sad.

That was the worst experience that I had until now with a teacher.
I want to know how that kind of teacher are accepted in schools, because he didn`t went at the school, and always when he came, he didn`t teach us, every students who were with him say the same.

That kind of teachers are who destroy the education, and that kind are who more exist.

We have to rescue that there are a lot of exelent teacher too,fortunately.

I agree with you Rosana, I passed by something like that… I had, not only one that didn`t came or teach us.. And that is very sad, because supposedly we, the young are the future, and we are going worst with teachers like that… it is the same in many school, that happen all the time, I think that many of the student who go to the school, want to learn, but we can`t learn if we have teachers like that… it is difficult to change that if the ministry does not care about that..
That is very sad.. Maybe the ministry can`t do more to resolve those problems.. I don`t know, but I hope that those teacher think in us, in the future, to change and be better.

I agree with you KAREN :I think to be a teacher it's a vocation, many people only think in the money and they didn't enjoy their job, maybe they can be choosen other profession, it's very important FOR you considered you give a service in the society and you contribution it's so very importan , you should have given all of you, and I studied to be a teacher of math , those all thinking in particular it very important to my formation.
"The Worst Teacher I've Ever Had"; it is math teacher's . when I was in the ninth grade, One day I really liked the subject, and I finished very fast the exercise, I'm very excited, when I stand up off my chair, she gets very upset, SHOUT me sit down, and said me you are inoportune person , and keep me stand until the class finish, That's was a surprise, She done I hate math,I started cry.. cry..in that moment and I goint to take a buss, I don't pay attention I felt very humiliated. I cry..., and I passed five blocks, of my house, and my father worried about it, and call me, I said him what happened and he was ver ungry, BECAUSE I'm VERY sensible, the next day he went to the school said to the teacher he puts complaint and the principal known the situation , the teacher started crying, she said me pardome, !THanks of God! I accept, I said : dadi, it's no necesary do nothing that finish, it's very dificult situation , because you have to do magic in some cases to manage you character and you problems of your life, you should have style how try with your students, with professional ethics treatment

I agree with you Camila, because fortunately not all the teachers are the same, I wonder what will happen if there aren´t good teachers? I´m worry about it, I think the authorities have to invest more in education, and that must be quickly because the society are in bad situation, for other part those teacher I don´t know what they are thinking because we, the students are affected with the bad performance of them, is really sad… but I hope that can change.

I think the worst teacher I’ve ever had or better said that I have is that of chemistry, sincerely she is very good, she treats us kindly and always gives the best of her to learn more, never has challenged us and always speaks calmly trying to solve problems.
But something I did not like was that the last week we had an exam and she told us to put our notebooks on the table, and took us the exam. I was the first that finished the exam but the problem was that most students were beginning to copy and even some of them took the book of the table and the teacher saw that and that upset me because I studied so much for the exam to have good grades and they maybe will get good grades without having studied.
Well, I don’t know why the teacher do that , maybe she let them to copied because she didn’t want to take us the exam again or to get rid of us, but I think she have to be more strict with us because I’m sure that the majority did not understand nothing in the class.

I remember my teacher in seventh grade she don't like me because when I was children I do my head wasbespelled for abuse and when I move from school found him to it and since there she do my life imposible but I paid no attention and gets angry because she lowered but did not get.

Andrea the copic is the more large problem ever because you study and other copy in my school this is common.

I remember I was in 5th grade, and our teacher had to be changed and as my school was public had to wait for a new one. In one year, I had almost 5 teachers... That makes you laugh, but it's true. While the days passed, came the 1st grade's teacher, then came the 3rd grade's teacher or sometimes we were with the principal, who gave us the classes...was so until our teacher had come. But the school year was finishing. Was the 1st day with our teacher, he was a man, and he had over 20 years... It reminds me Miss Caroline because was very young, and he wanted to be very strict. But , we had a year doing nothing. So, our behavior makes him get angry easily... He was the worst teacher I've ever had! I don't know why but until today I don't like him. He made us feel very bad in the few days of finishing school. We didn't do any class, so he came and wanted to do all in a little time, he gave us a lot of topics to study. We were children, we didn't understand many things, we didn't have ideas because we developed contents that weren't for us, but he punished my classmates for stupid things.. No one deserve this kind of teacher , but I'm thankful for not being our teacher since beginning. It would be worse...

I really don't know why teachers give contents that isn't part of the program, maybe they don't like to be a teacher. I think the whole life of a person, of a student is on their hands, why they don't worry ?. It depends of what they teach, they are part of the development of the students (intelectually and psychologically ).

There are many teachers like this, but I think nobody's perfect, we all can make mistakes. You should say if isn't correct. This happened to me many times. The teachers recognize they're wrong. If they don't understand it, is because they didn't learn. We can blame to the government, letting teachers passing exams. I think it's that. If you're important in the government you can get easily what you want, also if you have a partner. Nobody wants working hard to get, so they take in the easy way.

Well, I had a lot, but I going to tell about one, of Mathematics; She's my teacher from 7º grade to now, and always all student have problems with her, because always she does one very 'DIFFERENT' class, the more common of the Mathematics teacher is, she gave the topic and explain to you, and try to all students understand the class, but she doesn't do that, maximum ONE student understand her class, and she never help the OTHERS student who DON'T understand anything.
The REAL problem start when I and my classmates pass to the 1º course, she was named how the 'SCHOOL DIRECTOR', and as all director, she has more activities, and that IS the more biggest problem, because she doesn’t explain the class, NEVER, she leaves the book, and we have to copy 4-6 pages minimum for class, and try to do the exercises, and if we don't do, she start to claim, WHY YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING?, that terrible! Because SOMETIMES not always the exercises are easy, but if don't are? And no one is courageous for say anything to her, and that is very bad, because we don’t learn anything :'(

I can understand how you felt in that situation, I also had this experience a lot of times. But I didn't cry because I knew that I would have the note that I deserved and also some classmates mine didn't work and they had 5, but I just think they couldn't be better each year if they don't learn anything. So I only can feel preoccupation but any interest to help who don't want to learn.

I agree with you. This situation was, is and always will be too bad !
I think all your classmates and you are losing your time if you don't say anything to her or someone about it.
I mean, keep quiet and don't understand the lesson is a situation where you don't learn anything and You have to claim about you deserve before it is too late.

The Worst Teacher I've Ever Had, I think it was my english teacher (from school).
He was very cool, until one day he got to the class and gave us 100 exercises to do (not lying). We were doing it, when he said "Ok, now we're going to see a movie, let's enjoy the day". I loved him, he put the movie, we were watching the movie and everything was ok. 10 minutes before the break, he turn off the infocus and told us: Are you almost finish? If I don't correct it today you're going to lose 5 points.
I was like OH MY GODNESS, ARE YOU KIDDING MEEEEEEEEEE? I hated him since that day.

She never wrote the words correctly, I always wonder if she went to school, or if she was just playing around.

the worst teacher of my life is the natural science this year
almost never came, the times that came always late and forgot his books and other things
My classmates never respected her and were't in their class
Never understood how assessed, we had not book, nor ever were developing class
It was frustrating, we learned nothing not even what was science
exams approaching and gave us a series of questions that never developed for the exam
I think she not understand their class

When I was in ninth grade I had a Guarani teacher who since the first class day does not wanted me, the reason until now I not know it.
Every day called me the atention by anything (I had a jacket different the uniform, hair down, some makeup or I talk with my classmates (one can tell when treatment is different´s other)) was reason for I sign famous "Discipline Book".(only with me was so). Every day was the same thing, ahh and worst, she was my grade Advisor.. For she my HW always was wrong. Without that she see my HW I knew that some was not right it.
I do not deny, she is a excellent teacher in academics but only lacked divide the personal from the professional to be a better teacher.
So I finish my ninth grade.
When I was in the High School in the third year of average that teacher was back, but en that moment I approached to the teacher to talk with her, because in the third year of average could hurt enough if was as before.
Thanks to God I found a solution with my teacher and I finish satisfactorily my High School.

Ahh.. my Math´s teacher, she is Worst Teacher In My Life.. because she teach bad, is my teacher this year, I can not believe that one teacher as she teach in the National University.. Why I say that teach bad? Because she rounded the interests, (if the interests is 7.5 becomes in 8) so is bad.
I disappoint my teacher.

My History teacher was one of the better, I really hate history but with that teacher was different, she did dynamic and fun, already was retired but continued teach.
To be teacher have that be patient and understandable and the main.. know his subject.

The Worst Teacher I've Ever Had, is my teacher of Physics.. She since 2010 is my teacher of some subject, but what she did this year, was "THE CHAMPION" of any failure that could have a teacher in the world!

I had class with she every friday, 2 hours! And since the the beginning of the year, she NEVER, explain or development A CLASS OF PHYSICS ..

Arrived one week before his FINAL EXAM of this stage, and she miraculously appear with 45 exercise different to do, and was the exercise of the exam!

To worsen the situation, we almost crazy, asked : When you will explain all this? and she told us to read and figure it out, , she refused to explain about a topic and said that we were the students "MORE BIGGEST OF THE SCHOOL" and shouldn’t need to be taught, we could do it ourselves"

Obviously we did scandal !!! and you know how days more she gave us to study better ? 3 DAYS .. with 45 exercises that we should have learned in 4 MOTHS, we should learn in 3 days.. I broke my head to understand all in 3 days, was the WORST IN THE HISTORY OF MY STUDIES :(

For this little reason , she became in The Worst Teacher I've Ever Had ! :@

The experience of José is almost equal to my experience.

Both , teachers are for me, persons without any sense of time TO DO A HOMEWORK or TO STUDY .
Sometimes this type of teachers, have the need that someone writte on the front of their heads,
"WE'RE HUMANS NOT ROBOTS! REMEMBER ALWAYS" :@

Worst of all is that this kind of teachers not only make you NERVOUS but also frustrate you !

One of my teachers was as the teacher's teacher, she didn't teach anything and in the exam she never read the answers and you could put any answers, for example the question was: What is the Psycology? and my classmate put: it is all that occupies a place in the space, and she put that it was correct. And all of we passed with 5. But we never learn about the Psycology.

is normal in most of the teachers, leaving everything for last minute
I feel bad because they think of us and we will learn
the best solution would be to talk to the teacher for don't leave for last that could make us fail in life
understand people talking too
