David, Great idea, dude. Imagine all the pictures of that!Listen, I was thinking about starting a thread on here: What's Up With Zombies? Vincent encourage me to do it, but . . . this is more up your alley. However, I really would like to read all the comments about that. We had a similar one going about what is so attractive about Jack Reacher. That was a big hit. So you go for it and email me a heads up. Steve and I will jump on it for dramatic affect!
My first book, an apocalyptic virus story at that, is being e-published as we speak. It should be up for sale in a few weeks. What absolutely perfect timing for this. I would definitely be interested in helping, promoting, whatever is needed. I could give out cards and other goodies with some free downloads of my book and help others as needed. Thanks so much David. What an awesome thing to do.
Thanks for the positive responses. I'll try to start that thread soon, Jim. Sort of busy setting up my website at http://davidpforsyth.com/ today. It has a page dedicated to ApocaCon too. Sonia, you are more than welcome to participate. Do you think you could make it to the event? If not, helping to promote it online is enough to get your cards on a table and participate in giveaways.
I'll keep you posted here and please be one of the first to visit http://davidpforsyth.com/ too. Thanks.
By the way, the organizers of the Zombie Walk are excited about ApocaCon. If I get at least a dozen authors we will have our own pavilion tent with signage and ApocaCon will be featured in Zombie Walk event promotions. I'm excited too... (what have I gotten myself into this time?) LOL

Thanks so much David. I'll definitely be able to attend. I live only an hour and a half away. I'll definitely take off work and go.
Sounds great, Sonia! ApocaCon at the Long Beach Zombie Walk will be on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 3:00PM - 11:00PM. Sounds like a great party. Don't buy a ticket to the event yet. I am working on special inclusive rates for authors in Apocacon. Cost could be up to $100 for a table and chairs in the ApocaCon pavilion. General Admission is $15 and VIP is regularly $50. ApocaCon registration should include at least one VIP/Vendor pass. Let me know if that sounds good to you. I'll keep you posted.
Sonia, if you are reasonably sure you want to participate, please say so and mention your book & title in a comment at http://davidpforsyth.com/apocacon-102... That will also give me your email for additional updates. Thanks! I think this coming together...
Okay Jim, I started a "What's Up With Zombies?" thread on the BB. Chime in and let's see where it goes. :)
Just a heads up that Voyage of the Dead will be FREE on Sunday 7/15 at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006Y3XF4A Please grab it if you don't already have it and SHARE the news with all your friends. Thanks and Welcome Aboard!Apocalyptic Authors Unite at www.ApocaCon.info

Sounds great, but I believe there is more safety in numbers. So I started thinking how to make this an even bigger and better event. I came up with the idea for Apoca-Con (Apocalyptic Writers' Convention) to coincide with a massive zombie event.
I'd like to invite other authors of zombie and apocalyptic fiction to join me and promote their books. They can share my booth at the zombie event (we'll get more booths as needed) and we will hold our own Apoca-Con meet and greet and Q&A events with our fans and any others we can lure in from the Zombie Walk. Sound fun?
Please comment! This is just an idea today, but I want to run with it. Who's up for this challenge?
