Atton appeared with Charity in front of the new house he had rented right by a canal leading into the city.

Charity looked at it and then turned around, her face a picture of pure amazement. "We're in Venice?" She asked incredulously.

Atton shrugged."yeah, for some reason Lucain never wanted a place in ITaly so I took it."he said opening the door for her."ladies first."

Charity paused, looking at the canal before turning her back on it and entering the house.

Atton collapsed onto the couch and closed his eyes."need anything?"he asked her.

Charity shook her head as she looked around, before glancing over at him and realising he couldn't see her. "No thanks," she said, walking behind the sofa to lean against the back, standing slightly to the side of where he was sat.

Atton exhaled, putting his hands behind his head, sleep slowly biting back for all the nights he'd stayed up. "Lucian and I use to be close you know."he said after a moment.

Charity looked at him, her head tilted to the side as curiousity took over as to what happened and why he suddenly decided to say that. "No, I didn't know," she said, hoping that would be enough to make him continue without her having to ask and feel intrusive.

"he's older and believed that it was his duty to protect me and help me."Lucain continued, his eyes still closed."we trained together, I was always better but amhante never even gave me a second glance when I killed my first time or wrestled my older brother to the ground."

((what?! since when did they change??!?! *Alarmed*))

Charity frowned, walking round to sit next to him. "Why not?"

"he hates violence."Atton said shrugging."what about you? No family?"

((what changed? Did I do something wrong?!?))

((the name!!!! it means the person changed entirely!!))

"No," Charity shook her head. "I wasn't imagined with one..."

Atton looked up at her, not surprised by where she was siting."I'm sorry."

"Don't be," she smiled slightly at him. "Erm... Shia, I have to ask, why did you want me to run away with you? I mean, the last time I checked, you seemed pretty cross with me when you left the pub..."

((*offers extra oxygen*))

"yeah i'm sorry."Atton said sitting up."I wasn't ready to admit you were right. i'm never wrong."he said slightly joking.

((lol *hugs*))

Charity laughed, grinning at him. "So you're not going to be wrong about the future?" She teased.

Atton pulled her down, so she fell on top of him."watch your tongue missy."he teased.

Charity squealed, caught by surprise, but was soon laughing more than before. "You didn't answer my first question," she stated through unruly giggling.

Atton smiled down at her."you understand me in ways not many do."he said shrugging.

"I'll always be here if you need me, and I'll always try to understand you as best I can at the very least," Charity said truthfully, meeting his eye.

"I hope you feel comfortable with me as well."Atton whispered. He stood up."okay now for diner?"

Charity nodded, "Of course," she smiled, then paused. "What is it we're having?"

"hmm how about some delicious italian pasta."Atton said standing up."it's to die for,,... literally on my part."he said winking. He grabbed his jacket and offered an arm."just kidding by the way."

Charity smiled wide, taking his arm and letting him take her to wherever it was they were going.

He brought her to a restaurant by the water that was only lit by candlelight. He got a table and sat down."hmm. What are you hungry for?"

((oh, the possibilities of answering that question... :P
Guess what!! Me and my friend started a vampire diaries marathon, and because of the timing and each other's schedules, we should be able to make it last until when I can get season 3 on DVD and just continue it anyway XD ))

"What would you recommend?" Charity asked as she sat down opposite him, smiling.

((YAY!!! I can't wait for the next season!))

"definitely pasta how about some seafood dish?"Atton said looking up as the waiter came over to them.

((me neither!! when i get it it'll be the first time i've seen the first half of it, as i found out it was on tv about half-way through >.< i picked most of it up though ;) ))

Charity nodded, thinking. "What's your opinion on the squid linguini?"

((good! do you have any questions?))

"I'm allergic to squid."Atton said leaning back in his chair."I'll have some bread sticks and she'll have the calamari to start."he said to the waiter.

((yes, what exactly is siring and how is it done??))

Charity raised an eyebrow at him. "How can you be allergic to something, you're immortal?"

((siring is pretty much like master and slave.
Tyler was sired to Klaus, so anything klaus wants tyler to do, he does. But in the end he broke it. He was sired by drinking Klaus' blood which also made him a hybrid))

"immortal only means I can never die, I'm still partly human,"Atton said glancing at a passing boat.

((gotcha!!))

"Buy you can heal," Charity stated, following his glance and watching the boat.

"yeah but I still feel the pain."Atton snorted.

"Without knowing sorrow, how can you know joy?" Charity whispered softly, barely being audible, but nodded in understanding. "So is that your only allergy?"

"I've been through enough that sorrow and joy are the same thing."Atton replied, leaning in closer."perhaps."he said looking up as the waiter came back and he gave them their orders.

((ok, just got onto my laptop and have now seen Chase's picture: AWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!! *squeals* i wanted to mother him before because of the power stuff, now you'll have to fight me back with a stick at least!!
he takes after his father with the eyes ;) but either for the hair :P
so cute!!!! *^.^* ))

"Perhaps?" Charity tilted her head slightly in question, leaning forwards also.

((hahaha, isn't he perfect!))

"well I haven't tried all the foods in the world."atton said as if it were obvious."do you trust me?"

((just a warning, I am keeping Kole. I may not have seen him yet, but I am too used to having him around to let him go now.

atton squeezed it and sighed."I'm going to kill someone and I need your help."

Charity tensed slightly but shook it off. "Who are you going to kill?"

((Jahl, you've attacked here and now want to attack another place like five minutes after, i'm still trying to work out the Sarelle thing.

"Lucain."Atton said, vile in his voice.

((can i just admit that my original idea with this whole thing was so that i could use it in my favour in levels of maturity so as i could have an excuse to make a certain character older. sorry.

god my head still hurts from last night -__-' ))

"Because he disowned you?" Charity asked softly, wanting to make sure she knew the reasoning before forming a decision whether to act or not (though she knew which side she was leaning towards...).

"No, because he's a dick and he also has Amhante's powers."Atton said coolly.
