Name: Alice WoodwindAge: Seventeen
Personality: Well, Alice is one of those people that are hard to put a label on. One thing she always is is loyal. No matter what, she will stick by your side through the good times and bad, supporting you. She also has very violent mood swings, so, beware.
Appearance:
Eyes: >[image error]Alice doesn't like to be judged by how she looks. She looks sort of gothic, and doesn't give a crap about what people have to say about her. Her clothing style is usually more dark and showy, since she never really pays attention to what she pulls out of her closet
Other: Too lazy to do anything else.
Name: Brecken KellerAge: 17
Appearance:

Personality: Brecken is usually kind and sweet and a total gentlemen, except for when he's not. At times he will get super angry and throwing things and punch walls and scream. Pretty scary. Bu the rest of the time he's actually really nice. Just don't set him off. He dresses kind of preppy but that's because he was brought up that way. He believes first impressions are key, has good manners, is fairly humorous, but has a fiery temper.
Okay, idea time. I've had this idea for a story a while now, and I've written it down. Might as well try it out. And the idea is kind of stupid, soo... Warning. In this time, your life is chosen for you depending on your eye color. They grey eyed ones work in factorys, creating cars and equitiment; green eyed ones work in the feilds, planting, farming, and shipping food; Blue eyes work in the water, fishing and exploring the waters; and the brown eyed ones are the builders that make all the buildings and houses in the society.
So, whatcha think? Man, that made my fingers hurt.
thaat's really awesome! great idea! so sholuld our chcracters have different eyes colors and end up together by fate?
Sure. Oh, and I forgot to add. You're future husband/wife is chosen for you. By the ones that make the laws, they are the gold eyed ones. I forget half the stuff in it all the time.
Yeah... I have crazy ideas on a regular basis, so I finally started to write them down. I guess it comes in handy sometimes.
((Okay. I shall!))Alice was whistling as she walked from her room to the garden outside. She was ready to start the harvest, since everyone in her classifaction always had a celebration. It was the only time Planters were allowed to party. She carried a basket in her hands, looking over at the sea, seeing the water. She sighed; Alice wished she could be a Boater and able to explore unknown areas.
((can I be a boater?)) Brecken gazed out over the open sea, feeling the motor of the boat.
Suddenly the pitch changed. He ran up to the front of the boat looking over the gauges. Not good! he thought reading the dials and things. The pulled levers and steers towards shore near a farm, but. He might not make it...
((Yeah. Don't know why you asked, but yeah. :) ))Alice, seeing the boat, widened her eyes. She glanced around, making sure no one was around. She sat down the basket and climbed up on of the trees near the shoreline. Workers weren't suppossed to climb the trees; it was considered a crim against nature (haha see what I did there?). Alice cursed under her breath and slid down, going toward the wood docking area by the farms.
Brecken spied a dock on the farms and be steered the sputtering boat towards it. He had an important shipment aboard. Hopefully he could fix his boat quick and get back on the water. Where he belonged. He cursed and tried to get the boat on course to the dock. Halfway there, it began to take on water. He cursed again and pulled all sorts of levers and and handles, but it wasn't helping.
Alice slipped off her shoes, feet fast and swift on the wooden docks. She pumped her arms and clenched her hands into fists, not tired or out of breath. Years of running and walking large distances helped a lot. When she reached the end of the dock, she waved her arms so the Boater could see she was there to help.
Brecken saw a girl his age on the dock waving her arms. He wave back in noting her presence. He gave u his controls and went to bailing water with a bucket but it was coming in too fast. The boat was already low in the water. The cargo was getting wet, and Brecken knew his employer would be angry with him. Scary angry.
Alice looked around again. Her family should be in the city, so they wouldn't know about her getting in the water. She jumped in, doing the breath stroke toward the boat. She reached the boat soon after, seeing it was high with water. "Damn," she said, sounding awed. This little boat was sinking fast. Jumping up onto the boat, Alice looked at the bucket he had in his hand and held out her hand for one. "Gimme one, please."
Brecken shrugged and tossed her a bucket. Another day, another weird thing happening. Now a green-eyed-girl was helping him bail out his boat. Things just kept getting weirder. He ran back to the controls and steered towards he dock, then the instruments in the cabin shorted out from the water. The cargo was unsalvageable and they were slowly sinking. "Just abandon shop!" he called to the girl. With that he dived over the side, swimming to the docks.
Alice jumped off, still backwards, looking at the cabin. She swam quickly toward the docks, diving under; she found that way quicker. Alice was tired before she even reached the land. Not liking the feeling of her lungs burning from being tired and breathless, she stopped for a moment before continuing back toward the dock. What she wouldn't give to not be caught, she couldn't say. Probrably anything.
Brecken pulled himself up onto the wood, wringing his shirt out. He saw the girl struggling to swim all the way. "Do you need help?" he called.
"No," Alice yelled back, finally reaching the docks. She jumped up onto the wood, gripping the egde tightly with her fingers. Her hair was dripping and so was her clothes. "Dammit," she said quietly, standing up.
((was at camp for a week))Brecken looked at her and said, "I guess you can't go back to your friends looking like that?"
Brecken shrugged. "I don't have many either." He plopped himself on the ground and took of his shoes, wriggling his wet toes in the sun. "I guess I should get going." He rubbed his neck. "I really don't want to."
Alice nodded, knowing what he meant. "Yeah. I don't want to either," she mumbled, looking over at the orchard. "I really don't want to work."
Brecken looked at the wrecked of his boat and imagined his precious cargo at the bottom of the river. There was o way he could return. "They'll kill me..." he whispered, feeling anger mounting at the circumstances but trying to control it. "It's not fair!" he shouted.
Alice rolled her eyes. "Yeah, and what is fair?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at him. "And, you know. They could kill me for helping you. Planter," she added, pointing to herself. She knew it wasn't good that his cargo was now probrably sinking to the bottom of the ocean now, but a lot of things weren't fair.
"You're right. What am I saying?" He shook his hands out and rubbed his eyes. After taking a big breath he looked up at her and said. "What's that way?" he pointed out over the distance of an endless stretch of fields.
Nodding, she said, "I know I'm right." Alice smiled a little. "Where the Planters live," she said, rather distracted, looking over in the direction of her home. "Where we all live. Me, my family, my friends, co-workers. The fields is where we work day and night, month after month, day after day. Where all of us, the Green-Eyed Ones, work." She smiled wider and then pulled her eyes from the fields. She pointed in the horizen over the water. "What's that way?"
"Unimaginable things. Boats as tall as mountains cities with millions of people, all different colors of eyes and everything one could ever want." He looked at the horizon wistfully. "But no one I love. It's my uncle's boat but he died so I guess it's really my boat. Or it was my boat. He frowned. "Now I have no way to get back to the pathetic existence i call a life."
Alice looked out at the horizen, a little amazed at what he had just said. She turned back to him slowly, blinking a little. "Really? All different colors?" she said distantly. It was hard for her to believe that, since she had lived here with only the Green-Eyed Ones and some Blues. But maybe it was possible. "You could stay here for awhile, get a boat. We have Boaters here."
"Yes every color i can think of." Brecken longed to get back on the water where he belonged. "I could get a boat. And we could sail farther away than I've ever gone before." He paused. "I like that."
Alice looked shocked, crossing her arms. "What do you mean we? I don't even know your name," she said, looking at him curiously.
Alice grinned and stood up straighter. "Brecken. Kinda sounds like breaker," she said, looking at him. "It's fine. And I'm Alice, in case you were wondering."
