Andres half sprinted to the infirmary. He looked around as e entered the room, "anyone in here?" he called. He looked down at Jullianna and whispered, "it's okay. You'll be fine. We'll find out what happened." He hadn't even known this girl, but this was his protective instinct. Just like what happened with Diandra...
A nurse walked out from the back room and frowned slightly "Hello dearie, how can I help you" She asked gently while gesturing Andres to set Jules on a got. The nurse was already taking her stethoscope and other tools to get ready to help the young girl. "What happened?" She asked softly.
Andres set Jules gently down on the cot. "Her heart, I mean her right heart isn't beating right," he said quickly. He shook his head, "I mean, she was shivering and shallow breathing and then she passed out then her heart stopped," he said quickly. Uh oh...if he didn't calm down he was going to change again.
The nurse frowned "Alright dear, you can calm down." She said softly while taking the stethoscope and listening to Jules's heart for a moment or two before hooking her up to an IV that had mostly water in the bag. The nurse could tell what Jullianna was and knew how to help her. "She just needs to stay inside with the cool air and to be hydrated. It's going to be alright alright?"
Andres nodded and took a deep breath. He watched the nurse hook Jules up to the IV. "Okay," he said calmly. He looked at Jules, then back to the nurse, "what is she?" he asked, event hough he was pretty sure he already knew the answer. If she had been a vampire, the water wouldnt be water.
The nurse smiled brightly at Andres. "Oh, she's a Siren dear." She said softly while pulling apart Jules's shirt and playing heart monitor pads on her chest. "Alright...just getting the heart monitor started..." she said while turning the screen on. The nurse looked towards him. "Would you like to stay here or do you want to go?"
Andres nodded, "of course she is," he mumbled under his breath. He glanced away when she put the heart monitors on and looked back. "Oh, I think I'll stay with her until she's up. Just to make sure she is okay, you know?" he asked.
The nurse nodded slowly "alright dear, just press the button if you need me okay?" She asked with a smile before leaving the room. Jullianna's eyes slowly started to open a few minutes later and she looked around with her eyes confused. "where am I?" She whispered to him, her heart rate increased a tad bit.
Andres looked over at her, well that had been fast. "Shhh, it's okay," he said as he walked over to the bed. "You're in the infirmary. You were out in the sun too long and dehydrated," he said soothingly, in the same tone he used to talk to spooked animals.
Jules blinked slowly with a shake of her head before sighing and relaxing into the back of the bed. "Oh, well that makes sense." she muttered before taking a deep breath. "Would you mind getting me some water? I saw bottles over there...."
Andres glanced around the infirmary, would it be alright? He nodded and grabbed the bottle and handed it to her. He was getting a sense of deja vu ((sp?)). This exact same thing happened with Diandra. He looked at Jules, "how are you feeling?"
Jules shook her head and sat up despite the fact she probably wasn't supposed to be. She opened the water and drank some slowly before looking back at Andres, her green eyes watching him closely. "I'm okay. Just got a little hot. No biggie right?" Jules asked with a risen eyebrow.
Andres bit his lip and shrugged. "Maybe a little bit of a biggie. You need to be careful around the sun. Make sure you stay over hydrated..." he said, but he had a feeling she probably wouldn't listen much to hmim.
Jules rose an eyebrow "What do you mean the sun? I grew up in Florida....I've been around the sun my whole life." She said with a shake of her head as she pulled the IV out of her arm and sighed. "Thank you for bringing me here."
"Well then the heat, I don't know. Stay in the water..." he shrugged. "It's not good for a Siren to be out in the sun all day. You passed out and almost died," he said warily. "Leave that in for now," he said slowly, "and no problem..."
Jules sighed and rose her eyebrow as she threw the IV to the side of her, he was crazy if he thought she was going to keep that in. Jules frowned slightly "I really don't like water, it gets my hair feeling all gross." Jules shrugged and took a deep breath. "You are Andres right?"
Andres bit his lip and arched an eyebrow, almost daring her to leave it out. He shook his head, "a Siren that doesn't like water...I've seen everything. That's why you passed out because you were so dehydrated. Sirens are supposed to be in the water." So he was a lot like everyone's over concerned big brother...or dad, but he preferred big brother. He nodded, "yes, I am."
Jullianna smirked at him and left out her IV--she was good at going against orders. "I drink water, I think I'm perfectly hydrated." she said simply before rising an eyebrow at him. "And what are you? My brother?" She asked while shaking her head. and starting to get out of the bed.
Andres used every fiber in his being not to roll his eyes at her. "I think I watched your heart stop, but you seem to know everything so go right ahead and do what you think is fit," he replied with a smile. He watched her get out of bed and just sighed.
Jules shook her head and as soon as she stood up she felt dizzy and started to fall towards the ground once more. She wasn't always right but she would always pretend to be if it were up to her. Jules was attracted to this strange boy and all that he was.
Andres watched her start to fall and jumped up quickly to guide her to the bed. "You need to rest," he said firmly, but doubted she would listen to him right now. She was a defiant girl it seemed like. Right now it was bugging him, he just wanted her to be okay but nooo. That would be to big brother of him.
Jules nodded slowly "rest...okay..." she whispered while getting back into the bed. She frowned briefly before skidding her jeans off from under the blanket and throwing them into his lap. "I hate being I bed with jeans on" she grumbled with a shake of her head before looking at him "Andres? How'd you find me?"
Andres looked satisfied when she got back into bed. He looked down when she tossed her jeans at him. He folded them up and dropped them back in his lap. "J-just stay in bed," he said, unable to hide the little bit of pink that had risen to his cheeks. He looked at her, "Hmm? Um, I was out walking in the forest and I found you huddled up and shivering. Then, you passed out..." he trailed off.
She nodded slowly before groaning and sliding out of bed, her black lace undies showing. "Come on, this is boring." she said simply before grabbing his hand "Let's go to my room--don't worry. I'll put on pants there and you can come if you want. Don't want me to die now do ya?" Jules said with a smirk while pulling him towards the door.
Andres looked at her for a second before turning his head away and closed his eyes. "I ain't going no where until you put your jeans on," he said as he threw the jeans where he thought she was. "Then, I will go with you. I don't want you dying," he rolled his eyes, even though they were closed as he planted his feet firmly on the ground.
Jules laughed "Wow, you weren't a band guy were you?" Jullianna smiled "We had to change on the bus in front of everyone so it doesn't bug me anymore." Jules shrugged and pulled her jeans on before going over to him and pushing open his eyelids. "I'm dressed Mr. Polite." She said sweetly as she got dizzy for a moment. "Come on, let's get out of here."
Andres shook his head, "no, I wasn't." He shook his head, he didn't want to imagine having to change in front of everyone. He didn't want people changing in front of him, to be honest. He flinched back when she pushed his eyes open. "Lord have mercy," he mumbled and grinned over at her. "So I'm Mr. Polite now?" he asked, eyebrows raised. "If you feel dizzy or like you're going to pass out...or have your heart stop, tell me. Alright, show me where I'm going."
Jules rose an eyebrow at the heart stop comment. "I'll be sure to tell you if my heart suddenly stops." she said with a roll of her eyes she took his hand and pulled him out the door. "I'm taking you to my room" she said simply before leading him out the door, her heart beat quickly at holding his hand, she was starting to like this boy way to much.
Andres smiled brightly at her and sarcastically said, "alright! Sounds great." He arched an eyebrow when she grabbed his hand and pulled him out. He sighed, "just, lets keep you pants on, Jules. And promise me that you'll rest in your room," he shook his head. She was crazy! That's what she was.
Ethan carried in Skipper and set her on one of the cots. Immediately a nurse came over and began to tend to the young gifted human. Ethan sat back in the room and let them help Skipper, in his mind her health was more important than her wants and wishes.
Skipper was terrified through the entire procedure as the nurse hooked her up to an IV, put an oxygen mask on her face, and started checking her vitals. Skipper shook her head at Ethan "I am not happy with you." she said to him with an angry frown that really just made her look even more adorable
Ethan laughed at her and then smiled and shrugged his shoulder as if to say he couldn't help himself. Wtaching her he just wanted to make sure that she was okay.
Skipper shook her head and halfway relaxed when the nurse went away. Pushing the oxygen mask away from her face she pulled the IV out and hopped off the bed "okay, let's go" she said instantly
Ethan frowned, "No way." he said and walked over and pushed her back down on the bed. "I apologize for this." he said and pinched her nerve in her neck. Knocking her unconsious he let her be unconsious because then she would get better in the future.
Skipper's eyes widened as she was put under, she laid there unconscious for about thirty minutes before her eyes fluttered open slightly. She winced at the feeling of the sick around her for she could feel them. Skipper groaned and started to pull out the IV again.
Ethan frowned and having been standing next to her the entire time he pinned her wrists down at her side. "Stop it." he said warningly and his eyes flashed blood red. "I don't do good in infirmaries and you may not want to push my limits." he bluffed his warning.
Skipper frowned, her heart didn't even give a fearful beat, she simply wasn't scared of him in any way. "why don't you do well in infirmaries?" she asked curiously "is it the blood or the overwhelming sound of hearts beating around you?" she asked gently, not trying to be rude by her comment as she breathed softly in and out--her color was back.
Ethan rolled his eyes, "Both." he said simply and left it at that. He didn't bother mentioning that he had to see his father in an infirmary, watch as his father struggled to live and then watched as there wasn't enough blood and his father died in the small hospital room.
Skipper bit her lip "sorry about your dad" she whispered having just heard his thoughts on the manner. Skipper took his hand and kissed it as a way of her trying to comfort him. "I really am sorry, he didn't deserve to die like that...." she blushed slightly, embarrassed that she had mentioned if
Ethan blinked and pulled his hand away, unnerved by her reading his thoughts. "Oh uhhh.....yeah it's okay....." he muttered and made a mental note to be far more careful when he was around her. No way was he going to let her read his thoughts.
Skipper felt his emotions towards her and instantly looked at her hands. "Sorry." she whispered as tears started to prick in her eyes, it really wasn't that she tried to read his thoughts--and it wasn't even his thoughts but more of his soul. She had seen what he was and what made him him. THIS was the main reason Skipper didn't have friends....she managed to blurt out things. A few tears ran down Skipper's cheeks as she pulled the IV out and started getting out of the bed. "I should go." she whispered, her heart pounded with the tears she held back.
Ethan frowned and bit his lip, "I'm sorry if I hurt you." he said and shook his head. Sighing he bit his lip and watched her. HE didn't want her to go yet because then she would just end up sick again but still. Her powers sort of invaded his space and it was odd to go from lone guy to suddenly someone knowing things about him he didn't want anyone to know.
Skipper bit her lip and put a fake smile on her face even though her eyes were filled with pain. "I'm fine, really. Don't worry about it." she managed to get out before throwing the breathing mask on the bed and trying to make it towards the door without falling over passed out, for the dizziness continued to linger.
