I know it says rules, but... It's really a list of lack of rules, and a wee bit of guidelines. (:

1. You don't have to be approved to start roleplaying. If I see a problem with your characters, I will inform you. You are expected to fix it before you continue.

2. You can make as many characters as you like. Some people can handle only one. Some people can handle eleven. I don't care. Just make sure you don't make more than you can handle.

3. It kind of sucks having a thousand girls all over this one guy, so let's try and even it out, okay? Here's my personal rule, which you're free to adopt if you'd like: When I join a roleplay, I don't immediately read the previous characters. I read the genders and the names. I count-literally out loud-the number of males and females. If there are more girls than guys, I'll either only make a guy or make a guy and a girl. If there are more guys than girls or they're equal, I make what I want. The reading of the names is to prevent duplication.

4. This is a group full of artists. Mostly writers and poets. I expect nice grammar. Nothing perfect, but can I at least get some capitalisation and punctuation here? Please?

5. Along with the previous rule, since we're all artists, we know how to write. Or create. I don't mind the occasional short post, but they're always better when they have some depth. I realise it's a hard thing to do with a conversation, but try. Inner dialogue. It's a beaut'. Also, try not to make them too long. No one wants to read a personal novel.

6. None of us are Jesus(I don't think). We all have flaws. So should our characters. No one is perfect. No one always wins. Everyone has a weakness, and everyone dies in the end. Remember that.

7. I'm only at seven? My goal is eleven rules. Eleven rules of roleplaying. It just sounds nice. Has a nice ring to it. But I digress. Remember that you are creating with other people, and they have characters that they like, too. You can beat them up or whatever, but you can't kill them without their permission. You can't knock them out without their permission. All you can do is throw a punch and hope they don't dodge. Essentially what I'm saying here is that you don't get to control other people's characters. The exception is characters that have no master, like background characters.

8. This is more like a pro tip: Did you know, if you get hit once in the face by a good punch, you get knocked out? Boom. Down. Movies are a lie. Just letting you know. (:

9. If any concerns arise, they are to be brought to me before they are publicly announced. I will deal with it. Since this is my area, you listen to me. Got it?

10. If someone wants a summary, give them a summary. If you just got there too, tell them what you know. And if you are wanting a summary less than a hundred posts into the roleplay, suck it up and read it.

11. Suggestions are to be made to me in either this topic, the suggestions topic, my inbox, the Add RP topic, or via letter to my PO box in Mexico. (Yay I made it to eleven!) Do not create your own roleplay. I will take care of it. Promise. (:

P.S. If you're confused about any of the roleplays and would like an example, just let me know and I'll be glad to post a character or a beginning post to get things rolling.
