I find it hard to believe that no-one has posted to this topic as yet. I may as well get the ball rolling with...The Devil Dancers
The Devil DancersSomewhat reminiscent of James Michener’s epic multi-generational historical fiction. Unlike Michener, however, this book is set in a narrower period of Sri Lanka’s history. It appears to have been unconventionally published, so it did not arrive on the scene with the usual big-publisher fanfare. Having said, word is getting round. There’s an interesting 2-minute You Tube clip which summarises what a book festival curator thought about it http://youtu.be/kXLn1KNt-Es . Loved the book…
