Fay:

Fay are the keepers of the wildwoods, the guardians of the Old Religion. They are divided into 3 groups. And to each group, their own unique powers and descriptions and personalities.

Nature Fay
Powers over nature, they are divided into 8 sub-groups:Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Home, Tree, Flower, Weather. Their appearance is related to their sub-group. They are mischievous, but can be helpful. They look non-human, but can grow a human body, via Spellstone, a standing stone near a bend in a river, suppose to have some Fay-related magic to it...

Dark Fay
Evil fay, dark and corrupt, they are allies with other dark beings. Demonic in nature and appearance, they have strong magic, a vile tongue and short tempers. One way to find out if somebody is a Dark Fay is to see if their eyes grow a glowing red when under the full or new moon, a time of magic. Their eyes glow red when using their destructive magic. They are hard to harm and heal fast.

Light Fay
Healers and guardians, protectors and smiths. They are not as strong as Dark Fay, but close enough. They are reknown smiths and skilled healers, Angelic and kind, they are the closes you'll see to a god in your lifetime. They often give off a white glow and appear human at times. They heal fast, some say faster than Dark Fay, but are easily wounded.

Lesser earthly magic beings:

Fairies
Not to be confused with Fay, the fairy race is not as old and no where near as powerful or respected. Faries are the chihuahua to the Fay wolves. Faires are spirits of plants, born with half a soul in them, the other in their plant. If one was to cut down a fairy's tree or pluck a fairy's flower, they would go into a coma-like state and slowly slip into oblivion, if not die right away. All fairies are female.

Pixies
Pixies are the male fairies. As faries are related to plants, they are to woodland animals and birds. Bears, hawks and eagles are beyond their sphere, mice, songbirds, rodents, foxes, wolves are often the kind of animal these beings are related to. Grand-Pixies, a high ranking pixie, would have their animal literaly evolve into a bear, hawk, or a stronger wolf, or some other great animal. To hunt and kill a pixie's spirit animal is to harm one and invoke their wrath. Small, girlish and feminine are not true for all pixies, they are strong in numbers, like a swarm of magic bees.

Elf
Elves are terribly mischievous and naughty. They are good smiths and tailors. Often dressed in green, they have dark hair and dark eyes, dark brown, emerald green, or hazel are common eye colors of elves. Nimble and quick.

Dwarf
Dwarves are small and short. 95% are males, a female dwarf might actualy be.....a female HUMAN dwarf. They are the most skilled mechanics, tailors, smiths, and stonecarvers.

Nymphs

Nymphs are spirits old as,or older than, the Fay. Female beings of nature, they are not the guardians, but the literal manifestation, the incarnates, of the lush, green earth. These spirits have more groups than the fay, males are not seen, but do exist, while females are seductive and like to tease males with wandering eyes, the males are mostly old and elderly, the lovers of the Earth Goddess, while other male nymphs are young and handsome, they are not seen that often and are mistaken for Elves of Fay.

Fresh-Water

1. OKEANIDES were the eldest of the Nymphai, daughters of the great, earth-encircling River Okeanos. They presided over the sources of fresh-water and were responsible for the nurture of the natural world. As such they were often described as nurses not only of nature but of the gods themselves. Their numbers included Naiades (nymphs of springs and fountains), Nephelai (nymphs of rain-clouds), Aurai (of moist, cool breezes), Dryades (of trees), Epimelides (of grassy pastures), and Leimonides (nymphs of flowery meadows). In modern compilations Okeanides are often described as "ocean" nymphs. A deceptive phrase since Okeanos in old Greek myth was a mythical fresh-water river and not the salt sea ocean.

2. NAIADES were nymphs of the earthly sources of fresh-water, including springs, rivers, streams, wells and fountains. Some were daughters of local River Gods. They were sometimes also associated with rainclouds (Naiad-Nephelai), trees (Naiad-Dryades), and flowery meadows (Naiad-Leimonides).

3. HYDRIADES were fresh-water nymphs, named for hydros, the Greek word for water. They were essentially the same as the Naiades.

Trees

4. DRYADES were the nymphs of the trees, forests and groves. Some Dryades were the Naiad nymphs of rivers and springs who presided over the trees sprouting on their banks. Others were Oreiades (mountain nymphs) connected with the dry-growing mountain fir and manna ash trees.

5. HAMADRYADES or HADRYADES were Dryad nymphs whose life force was bound to that of a tree. They were particularly associated with lofty trees growing in sacred groves of the gods. Some were also the Naiades of springs which seemed to sprout from the base of their roots.

6. MELIAI were nymphs of the mountain ash tree and honey bees. They were Hamadryades, Oreiades, and Melissai. Many a Melia was also named nymph of a local spring (a Naiad).

7. MELISSAI were nymphs of the honey bees. They were usually classed as Meliai or Oreiades, nymphs of ash trees and mountain forests.

8. OREIADES were mountain dwelling nymphs. Some were Hamadryads of mountain-loving fir and ash-trees, others were spirits of rocky grottos, some were Naiades of the mountain springs, and others were Epimelides of the mountain pastures

Meadow

9. EPIMELIDES were the nymphs of grassy pastures, who fed the cattle, sheep and goats of human herdsmen. They were also the nymphs who nurtured orchard trees. (The Greek word melos meant both fruit-tree and sheep, hence the double function).

10. LEIMONIDES were the nymphs of flowery water meadows. They were usually described as a type of Okeanid or Naiad nymph. The Leimonid companions of spring-time Persephone were a band of Okeanides.

11. ANTHOUSSAI were nymphs of flowers. They were Okeanides, Naiades, Epimelides and Leimonides.

Sky

12. NEPHELAI were the nymphs of rain-clouds. They were numbered amongst the Okeanides.

13. AURAI were nymphs of cooling, damp breezes. They are winged and float on air

14. ASTERIAI were nymphs of the stars. Other star nymphs were Hyades and Pleiades. Both of these were also classed as Oreiades (mountain nymphs).

Sea

15. HALIAI were the nymphs of sea and shore. They were spirits of the deep, the waves, fish, coastal caverns, sandy beaches, rocks and pebbly shores. The most beautiful were the fifty famed Nereides. A few also appear in the guise of Naiad nymphs who guide fresh-water beneath the sea.

16. NEREIDES were nymphs of the sea. They were numbered amongst the Haliai, marine nymphs.

Underworld

17. LAMPADES were the torch-bearing nymphs of the underworld. They were spirits could throw their magic fire, causing chaos and making those who were hit by the fire kill their own allies.

Other Nymphs

18. MAINADES were orgiastic nymphs of wine and drunken rage. These thyrsos (pine-cone tipped staff) bearing spirits often killed those who they came across when drunk, and where almost never sober.

19. THE HESPERIDES were the nymphs of the evening and golden light of sunset.

There are 3 other races often called Nymphs, but aren't, these are the Valkyries, Muses and Graces.

Graces/Kharites(Kharis sigular)

Valkyrie
A Muse was a spirit of music and learning, Graces were spirits of merryment, Nymphs were spirits of nature. Valkyries are spirits of war and battle. All female, these often rode skeletal horses and winged helmets.

Ares
An ares is a male version of a Valkyrie, they are dressed in Roman armor rather than a Valkyrie's norse style. They love the smell of blood and kill just to kill.

Spirits
Spirits are even older than Nymphs, they are one of a kind(Per Gender) and have odd names which have something to do with their 'element'

Elements are anything from water, earth air, or night, midday, sunrise, the tide, darkness, the unseen side of the moon, animals, magic....the list goes on and on. To be a spirit, ask the Head-Mod in the Spirit section.

Demon
A Demon once was a human, but like in the Catholic's belief, Demons/Fallen Angels, which are realy just Dark Archfays, twist and corrupt the human's soul, making them.....something else entirly. With black eyes and sharp claws, long fangs and the shape-shifting, they are greatly feared. They can grow horns, wings and tails. Their eyes turn completly black at night, or when hungery. They feed off of sin and dark or cold emotions, along with the occasional children and a vergin woman's heart. (Dark emotions: Murder, anger, wrath, lust, greed, want, ect. Cold emotions: saddness, depression, suiccidal thoughts, alone, solitude, unwanted, feeling unloved, ect) They can't help it if a holy, virtuous person's blood is spilled before them, their iris will grow dark, and if they are weak, will instantly jump down and lap up the blood. Some demons are more powerful and different than others, some dont feed on anything, some dont display bloodlust. They kill fast. They are fast, strong and light, they weigh almost nothing.

Stone Legion:

A cursed race, the Stone Legion is under the command of Garafyn. By daylight, they are ugly gargoyles who are forced to sit as stone (they can only move if they are commanded by the one who bears their emblem), but at night, they can move about freely and under the light of a full moon, they can again take the form of handsome warriors and knights–but only so long as the full moon touches them. Should they leave its light, they will immediately return to their gargoyle state. There are those who say there may be a way yet to lift their curse, but so far all those who have tried, have met with failure and death.

The Stone Legion isn’t the only race that inhabits the realm of Camelot. There are also the graylings, a twisted group of fey who were cursed to serve their more beautiful counterparts, the Adoni. More beautiful than any creature alive, the Adoni are truly evil to their core. They lack all mercy and all compassion. Graceful and slender, they will stop at nothing to bring the world of man to its knees
