Queen Vallaria gazed over her court, lively with music and cheer. Her lips were pressed into a thin line as she adjusted her several skirts and hair, reclining back on her throne. At that moment, she felt someone else's presence.Liz walked through the lake and appeared on the otherside. Guards were already waiting.
Tod also walked in, his face expressionless. He knew the Fey would use whatever they could against him. Never trust the Fey...that's what he'd always heard.
The Queen stood at their appearance, a bemused smirk on her pale face. The court moved aside to allow the werewolves through. "Children of the moon. What brings you here?" she asked in her echoing, ethereal voice.
"Ah. Such a demanding presence from this one." she exclaims softly, gazing at Tod directly. The entire court giggled quietly before she shushed them with a flick of her hand. Then, she glided down the stairs so she was just two steps above them."What do you need lycanthrope?" she asked.
He looked up at her. "Did you or any of your people have anything to do with the vampire child this past week? I want a straight answer..." He waited, Fey might not be able to lie, but they were experts at only telling half truths.
The Queen smiled in a sarcastically apologetic way before sweeping her skirts around in a large fan and began returning to her seat. "You think I know, don't you Rivers?" she asked, already knowing the answer.
"Being silent will surely extract the answer from me." she said, crossing her legs and adjusting her skirts once more, the entire court giggling. "Very well. Come forth. Just to the bottom step." she pointed to where he should stand.
"Very well. You are stubborn." she sighs, rolling a eyes a tad bit as she turns her head back to Tod and taps her fingers on the arm of her glass and gold throne. "We do not know the wolf child nor do we have the intention to hurt them at this moment in time. Satisfied?" she replies, bored of playing with Tod.
He crossed his arms. "I asked about a vampire child, not a wolf child." He was tired of playing games, he wanted answers.
"We have no interest in the Children of the Moon either. Not for now at least. This dead child you speak of - if he does not bear the marks of being attacked by the Fair Folk, then we did not kill them." She looked at him directly, eyeing him down.
"Ah...seeing through my tricks are we? Well, that is a different matter entirely. And one I should not like to make apparent to my court." she dropped her voice low for the last sentence before standing. "One moment." she excused them two and led Tod off, behind the throne through a door.
Tod hesitated a moment before following, not completly trusting the Queen. He motioned for Liz to stay where she was.
Liz nodded and glanced around at the court who were pretending to mind their own business but were actually spying on the pair. The Queen closed the door behind Tod and moved over to a stone table which was separating them. "Ease yourself Rivers. I shall not harm you tonight. Now the information you seek. I am...concerned that the blame is being put on us. We aren't known for honesty so that makes us an easy target, no?"
"We have no leads on who the culprit might actually be. The whole glamour excuse is exactly what would put us centre stage. If the wolves aren't behind this, nor the vampire or the fair folk, I suggest you start looking outwards..." she suggested, eyeing him directly.
"There is another downworlder you have not interrogated and also, the possibility of one within your own ranks. If I am to be blunt." she told him coldly.
((duh!!!! *hits self in head multiple times* how did I forget them!?!?!?!?))Tod frowned, not saying anything.
((It's okay. Hard to remember.))"That is all Tod Rivers. You may leave. You didn't prove to be as fun as you were last time." she dismissed him, flicking her hand in his direction.
((last time? I gotta hear this back story...))His eyes narrowed slightly, but he turned around and left the room , heading back to the main area.
((omg, I really have to stop giving our characters a history!))"Goodbye Tod Rivers." she sighed, closing the door.
Liz stepped forwards, seeing him returning. "So?" she asked.
"As far as I can tell the Fey aren't involved." he said, walking towards the exit. "The're suggesting we talk to the Warlocks."
((I will in a while, don't feel like making a person right now, but we can go ahead and start and I'll make them later?))
