Max opened the door to her dorm and walked inside, Trent following closely behind her. There was a bed a white pillow and a gray comforter, with matching gray wall. There was also a wooden desk with a matching chair. "It's better than some of the rooms I've stayed in," Max said softly, sighing.
Trent sighed, plopping down on the bed. "This place... it's such a drag isn't it?" he murmured, looking at Max wearily. "I think we should try and put some color up," he said with a thoughtful tap of his fingers on the bed.
"Yeah," Max sighed, flopping onto the bed next to Trent. "But it's better than some of the places I've stayed." She sighed, looking down.
Trent tilted his head to one side, watching her curiously now. "How do you mean...?" he murmured, vaguely remembering her telling him of her past. Though he understood a little of what she went through, he was still a little confused.
Max sighed and looked at her the ground. "When I ran away from the foster care agency, I would stay anywhere I could," Max said sadly.
Trent nodded slowly, sighing softly. "Right..." he murmured, though he didn't dare risk a glance at her. He fell silent, unsure of what to say.
Max fell into silence. She didn't know what to say. She just sat quietly next to Trent. Finally she looked over at him. "Why don't we talk about something else?" she said, giving a small smile.
Trent blinked, glancing at her, and nodded. "Right.... good idea," he said with a relieved smile. He thought for a moment. "What's you're favorite drink?" he asked randomly.
Trent grinned, and shook his head. "No, I'm not," he chuckled. "And yeah.... it seems we do," he said, feeling a little more relaxed.
Trent nodded and grinned. "Great," he murmured, feeling happy. "And obviously we both like soccer," he chuckled.
Trent smiled brightly. Ah it felt good to smile... he felt as if he hadn't done it in forever. But he felt perfectly comfortable around her. She was a friend after all... a best friend, if not more than that. He blinked, watching her curiously. "What else do you like?"
Trent nodded, tilting his head to one side. "I'm not a real big fan of it, but I know Denna.... use.... to play the violin," he said, furrowing his brows at the memory.
"Violin... Not a huge fan," Max said, grinning. he sat up and went over to the desk that had her bag on it and pulled something out. A pair of headphones attached to an Ipod. She found it a while ago, on a table of a coffee shop, probably left there. "This is what I'm talking about." She put the headphones so they could both listen to the rock music that blared from the headphones. "I play drums."
Trent blinked, listening with slight surprise. He had mostly heard classical music pretty much his entire life. He frowned a little, furrowing his brows. "Oh..." he murmured, though the music was very interesting to him.
Trent nodded, titling his head to one side as he looked at her. "Hmm..... okay," he murmured, kind of liking the beat of the music.
"It's cool, isn't it?" Max said, smiling. She patted the beat on her lap, as if she was playing the drums.
Trent nodded quickly, losing himself in the music for a while. After a moment he looked at Max once more. "So you don't like classical music?"
Max took off the headphones and thought for a moment. "I've never heard it, at least that I remember." Max admitted.
Trent nodded thoughtfully. "Well... I um... I play the piano, so if we could find a piano I could show you....?"
Trent thought for a long moment. "There could be one in the auditorium ...." he murmured thoughtfully.
Trent stormed into her dorm, growling softly as he plopped down on the bed, curling up and pulling the sheets over him. His heart raced and he was shaking uncontrollably as he felt tears stinging his eyes.
Max followed Trent into her dorm. She didn't know why he had come into hers instead of his own, but didn't mention it. "Trent," she said softly, sitting on the bed next to where he was burried in the sheets.
((Oh pffft thought this was his XDD OH well, I'll make some excuse that he was too angry to realize where he was going >_>))Trent sniffled softly, growling. "Go away," he muttered, his voice cracking. He hadn't realized he had stepped into her dorm instead, but he didn't care. He just wanted to be left alone.
Trent growled softly, though it wasn't very convincing. "Go. Away," he hissed curling up further as he drew the sheets closer to him.
Trent bit his lip, moving farther away from her, and peeking out of the sheets. "Why not?" he muttered, a couple of tears sliding down his cheeks.
Trent blinked, glaring at her, and looked around. Damn. He looked back at her, and swallowed hard. "Why?" he challenged.
