"Has something happened, here? Something unfortunate?" Adrian asked addressing them all.

"Gabrielle...do you remember me? I want to help. Has anybody checked for her in any of the less than physical realms around here?"

"I tried to make everyone forget...but the link I had forged with you...I couldn't make you forget who I was. I'm sorry I never made it back to help you, before." Adrian said seriously. Not forgetting the others he chose his next question. "Have any of the attempts been amplified by the use of more than one mind?"

"Only because of the link my earlier trick had created when I accidentally listened to you all talking to each other mentally,"he explained. "I need you to help me to try something, okay? You are the only one with a proper link to my mind who is here and who has a strong bond with Max. I want to try looking around for her myself."

Adrian looked around quizzically. "Anybody wanna fill me in on what the devil you are talking about?"

"'Hands'? What does that even mean?" Adrian asked feeling slightly peeved by their cryptic responses.

"Okay so, no frivolous mind probings...em, Ian, you said Kalim was already attempting to do it with someone else? I think it's about time I met him...If Gabrielle is okay with that, of course?"

"Are you coming with us or would you like to keep tabs on the trail?"he asked curiously. "Let's go guys, there's a lot more at stake now."

"Can we use that? Anyway, Gabrielle I'll see what I can do but I don't think I can promise anything," Adrian told her seriously. "Do I need to change form? Or will I be safe as my bad self? Stay safe."

Adrian followed went through the gate all too aware of the watchful eyes of Adriana and wondering about the tunnels and why he should stay away.
