It’s innate; it’s not a learned behaviour. They will bury dead buddies and wooden dowels soaked in cadaverine. However, with their dopamine soaring in anticipation, these guys mated and ejaculated several times. A few days afterward, the young males were placed in a large cage with normal-smelling females and females smelling like death. The cadaverine-conditioned rats got it on indiscriminately.”
