Found this at a used book store in Nanaimo. I think the copy is over 100 years old. There’s a a piece of paper with an ad for Wrights coal tar soap that was being used as a book mark. 🤓 so far Thomas de Quincey’s “opium eater” is a stand out from the literary excerpts

Enjoying the variety of works by different authors. It's a lot like snacking on various tidbits at a buffet. Never stuffed but sampling different flavors of human thought and expression.

Reading a section of the Divine Comedy. I always wanted to read and understand this work better. Now is my chance.

I never heard of many of these writers, but that's not stopping me from loving their work. Unheralded writers or authors lost in time still have a lot of valuable things to say to us today. Pick up a classic and enjoy!
