Not sure how much more of this I can take. I wanna read more about Tompkins, not the authors she reads books from and be spoiled completely on those books even if i never heard of them.

Okay, if I wanted to read about someone else's life through his/her writing(s), I would actually go and read those books. Write less about that and more about you, please and thanks!

And when I finished it, I wanted to read it again. I wanted to remain within the aura of the book.

Can’t get over how often she notes and gently brushes aside the misogyny in the texts she’s chosen to examine her own life. Really hoping she confronts this and her own tendencies towards emotional self harm and erasure by the end.
