So…. Monuments to Iowa and Ohio to commemorate the Federal assault on Chattanooga. Not cool. 🤯

The Battles for Chattanooga diorama and film show at Point Park (it home since 1997) were previously at the Confederama in St. Elmo for almost 40 years. For many years after World War II, schoolchildren and visitors alike flocked to view the Chattanooga campaign in miniature.

(Honestly, we weren’t happy with the narration of the show, but the diorama was a beat feature, if dated looking.)

WHY in the WORLD is there a monument in Lookout Mountain, Tennessee commemorating the state of New York’s efforts in the War Between the States?
