this author is really good at crafting an interesting memoir, especially while drawing parallels to a legal/criminal case

this is so sensitively and skillfully written. and also heartbreaking at many points.

straight up decided to start over with this one because it's been almost a year since i made it halfway through 🤡

interested to see how the final plot arc of this series unfolds after some of the series' long-standing conflicts have been resolved.

this works really well (so far) at explaining theoretical approaches and why they're important to understanding literature in the social sciences

the author narrates this herself, and so far, i think she's an excellent reader.

a whole heck of a lot happened quickly and it's a lot to process tbh

it's always funny to me when i put off reading a book for like...a year or so and then read it very quickly and easily when i actually motivate myself to start on it

this essay pulls absolutely none of its punches

not to be nitpicky, but i wonder if it's ever explained why a character's grace suddenly increases in strength and precision after a certain point. still enjoying this nostalgia-read a lot, though.

while i have a few minor gripes with certain things, i overall adored this book. rtc.

this is definitely a book that rewards attentive readers.

as a library worker, elena's eagerness to help zachary solve his intriguing library book mystery is Very Relatable

just barely started and i'm already charmed, despite the potential for this to turn too twee even for my tastes

chapter 257/391, according to the nonsensical method spotify used to break up this book into 5 minute segments

this is a very well-written and narrated book, but i would not recommend listening to an audiobook on spotify to my worst enemy lol

if you think I'm not gonna log the textbooks I read for school, you've got another thing coming

I have 7 days left on my loan of this e-audio book and about 10 hours left to listen to. I really hope I can finish it before it gets returned 🤞
