I don’t appreciate the what Aurora decides to do after finding out that information. I get the spirit of things, free will and what not. But unfortunately that’s not why I like shifter romances! 🙄

The characters keep dying and coming back, and it's making the stakes not as high. It makes the plot twists not as interesting. I don't take anything going on seriously.

I'm not going to lie, I hate Isaiah and Kaden. Hate! Loathe with my entire being. Short of Gabby being reborn and time-traveling to undo everything they did, I can't forgive them. There is no redemption for them in my mind!

So this is the friends to lovers trope where both MCs have been friends for years, had feelings for one another, but for some reason (external or miscommunication) have never taken the leap to be together. This is not the friends to lovers that I like… I want to see the build up of the friendship, the slow realization that maybe they have feelings for each other. Not something resolved with a confession 💀

The level second hand embarrassment I’m feeling could be considered deadly…

There's a lot of telling and not showing. There's no basis for their relationship other than sex. There's so much repetition and zero substance.

I picked up this book because someone raved about the two main character's communication skills. Colour me surprised when the first 13 chapters are filled with the miss communication trope and assumptions from both characters...😒
