I'm not enjoying it for now. I'm 18% in and the book is so negative. We haven't reached a single tip, it has only been about complaining and personal anecdotes which is NOT what you want to hear when you're broke.

Nobody wants coddling, we want solutions.

Why is everything so sad, graphic and gloomy?

It's the beginning of the book. It's supposed to be nice and somewhat stable, but it's not. It's gritty and traumatizing.

I'm 25% in and I can confidently say that I've missed the advice of Mme Scott.

Reading the "Madame Chic" serie feels like going to a friend for advice when you feel frustrated and overwhelmed with your current predicament.

With her soothing, enthousiastic and compassionate approach to life, her advice help you move toward a life where you feel more at rest and confident in yourself.

I'm waiting for the two last issues of the volume, and for now it looks like a 5 stars read.

It's a well written book. I don't think the content are revolutionary, and I don't agree with the author's viewpoint all the time, but it's a pleasure to read a well-written book.

Especially when you see some of the "self-help" literature that has been published.

Chapter 3 is the most difficult chapter to read. It's not because I'm reading the book in a foreign language, it's so disturbing I'm feeling physically sick.

The writing is excellent. I feel like it's going to get four stars from me, and the only reason why in deducting one is because I dislike the art style.

Ouch. Our main character projects a lot on other people, and seems to lack awareness on certain aspects of herself. Which is wild because she clearly is able to spell out how unhappy, dissatisfied, and crappy she is. I'll see tomorrow what happens after that.

I'm liking it for now. The main character is so bitter and tragic, she makes you laughs... because of how uncomfortable you feel. She's miserable for now, but the plot advances fast enough that at 10% of the book, you can feel the setting and the plot changing phases. I think it's going to go quite quickly from then onward.
