The plot start to move a bit on (as the narrator herself said may be she felt the plot so slow and boring) when Catalina's grandfather is threated to be departed from the US.
Cliché but that's okay, yet as soon as we start the next -and last chapter- we spend so far much time without mentioning the plot she just started about the departing last chapter...although its her -as her words- the most exciting thing so far.

I knew I was going to regret this, half-way through and it's still pure rant ordinary life thing. funny the narrator said at the early pages "that's how romantic-comedy movies starts"....well, so bad it's not that romantic, it's not that comedy and it is just rant.

First Chapter, Summer..
I guess I'm gonna regret this. It's in the Dark Academia cat. but so far so ... not that dark at all.

A calm , good ending. I expected more but it felt real enough and that's fine . I'm just glad the ending wasn't... Dark.

It's very addictive drama. tough and row, bad and Dark... Dark as Vanessa.
The years go by from 2001 to 2006 and how everything changes,... the pop culture and even the US president, But Vanessa is still the same.
And now a new English teacher, younger one, comes to the picture.
I wonder how it all will ends.

Exactly half way through and everything kinda ended..... But afterward it seems that it was only the beginning.

I love how I felt touched hard by the narrating. specially with the parents reactions when they finds out. It's tough story full of mixed emotions.

A chapter in the present (2017), one in the flashback (2000-2007)
so far it's good but I hope there will be some kind of twist soon.

It's the strongest, darkest kind of eroitica I've ever read.... but I guess it's just me who think so.
The seduction game between the young student and her old teacher is a very strong theme here. but it's realistically well written.

Just start reading this as part of Goodreads Challenge of reading a "Dark Academia" novel , and I guess it's also in another category challenge and after reading the first chapter unfortunately it's not Horror although I thought so when I picked it up -because of the cover and title / the cover almost match my previous read ; A Little Life.

Anyway it's about this famous late 2010s Me Too movement. and it's dark.

A very calm ending, kinda of an anti-climax. may be it meant to be so as the sad caption of the once happy photo says.
But after all it's a good story and the ending is still a feeling good one after all.

Couldn't fast read as I began Part Three, the climax of the story... it's fast paced and exciting and can't wait to see how it will ends.

about 130 pages read today.

It's the last of Part Two, and it ends with emotional tragic events - although already known and established facts from the early beginning of the novel, but reading it how it happened is truly sad and exciting... couldn't let it off my hands.
Tomorrow is the last 160 pages so I guess another 3 hours.

Amazing details,. funny I just re-watched the movie at 5Kids channel in full HD so I noticed how remarkable these small details are.

More sex scenes as the romance part became more vivid as the war is on.
Hopefully Part Two is about to ends (the flashback) in about 130 pages. I can't wait for that to see how everything will be wrapped up.

The story finally get faster, the kind of unavoidable love making scene was decently written. and finally we get more into the motives of Kaine and understand him better.
Then a big war action scene for Luc and the Resistance including a rescue mission makes the plot fast now and that's good.

So I've started in Season Seven...


where they're matured a bit... planning for the biggest marriage on screen while they're all look really beautiful.

Finally half way through.

The War getting worst for the Paladia and finally too Helena asking Kaine why is he helping them.... it's a mystery so far really and with the currently prolong story it gets a bit boring. wish it move faster now.

Now it start to feel "prolonged" a bit. Helena and Kaine slowly turning from enemy to romance taking long in sometimes kind of cliché events mostly predictable.. It's still good but in this flashback there's no mystery now and it's so far -after the twist few 100 pages ago- is just prolonged plot.

A good story really so far . I start to feel how original it is with the vivid history. the war which is mentioned in the background of this flashback.
The detailed Alchemy and the kind of "magic" the characters have is well written. How the High Necromancer made the Undying people also interesting.

The Packaging of the Wizarding World products are strange and funny even creepy sometimes... but the effort done to make these is remarkable.



The book even have secret folded pages with more and more logos.

So Part Two will be just the past, the years of the War.
Helena and Ferron have something like the "Occlumency" from Harry Potter... and a good twist in his past...
It's easy to see where the story will be heading now but I hope for more twists, after all when we got one about a main character just 30% into the novel so I must expect more to come.

Part One of the novel ended with the inevitable, The "Child" making between Helena and Kaine.
It starts to be "cringe" a bit.... specially as they're in "Hermione and Draco" in my head.
Then by the end of this part suddenly too many names flooded as flash memories did in Helena's locked brain.

Then Part Two starts with 4 years flashback to know'em all.

PS: have to investigate the cool chapters' header symbols.

Helena does her guess work and understand why the "High Necromancer/Voldemort" is making some "Undying". and apparently there's a Resistance member on loose and killing those Undying.

A long day at the bank , glad to have this huge book for the 4 hours wait.

So far it's Helena's -Hermione?- long day at the big Manor of Reeve -Malfoy?- the necromancer who should retrieve secret information she even doesn't know but locked -by magic- in her mind.
The world building can get a bit complicated for me now - I'm not good with High Fantasy actually- but I keep imagining an alternate version of Potter.

Done with the beautiful, different and funny Season Six

They're more beautiful here really all 6 of them even Gunther, they're at their prime here.

And in the book ,after season six there's a nice interview with Ross...

الا ان سهل تكتشف ازاي المؤلفة حولت خيوط عالم هاري بوتر لروايتها لأن بعض الخيوط الرفيعة جدا متشابهة

I know , I just finished "A Little Life" which wasn't that little, before that I was at King's Duma Key which was a long stay... now It's Alchemised that will be with for the next weeks...


I'm aware of that was before a Draco/Hermione fan fiction story.. and I can't not get Emma Watson as Helena in my head.

لا انكر ان الاحداث سريعة ولكن للاسف لم اتعايش مع الشخصيات كم توقعت حتي الأن، ولكن عندما وصلت لنقطة اني رما وضعت اصبعي عن الخطأ الجسيم في سر عدم استمتاعي بالاحداث حتي خبطتني المؤلفة ب"بلوت تويست" يقلب الاحداث 180 درجة جعلني اتوقف لأستكملها غدا
