the narrator for the audiobook is incredible! this book is incredible so far, very acadamia-training-arc. knowing r.f. kuang i’m waiting for the story to take a turn and become utterly devastating but at the moment i am very happy

fantastic, i adore rin. very refreshing to read a book this well written post-fourth wing.

definitely enjoying this book so far but the love interest(s) are not escaping the Tall Muscular Scar Mysterious Man and the protagonist is not escaping the Small Feminine But Strong And Independent. it’s an interesting story, i always love a magic dragon school, but the exposition is CRAZY, yarros is very straightforward with it i’ll give her that (the parapet scene was hilarious)

i’ve just read some reviews and a lot of people mention having to see this book through to the later half to be satisfied by it, so i think i will be so brave and do that. i imagine it’s worth it

i’m not sure how i feel about this one.. gideon the ninth was a great book and gideon as a narrator was very compelling and i feel like that’s missing here. harrow’s a really interesting character especially in this book but she’s hard to follow as a narrator.. may dnf

this book is taking me so long to finish, the plot is interesting but some of the aspects feel a little unrealistic (if i wasn’t around the age of daunis it might have been a bit more believable, but it can just feel a little unnatural). considered dnfing it, but it’s not too long so i’m determined to finish reading haha
