This might be my book of the year!

This book is amazing.

Loving the style of it, Mr. Nancy seems cool as all things.

Doing this for updating reading progress.

So far it’s been amazing and has pulled me back into Sanderson’s books more than works like Yumi and the Nightmare Painter or Rhythm of War. Great book!

I want to start writing reviews that are more critical than my past “5-stars for everything.”

With that in mind, this book is fun, but it has flaws. Around the 150 page make it became a little monotonous with its formula. There is A LOT of talking and telling, with little showing. The formula seems to be, describe something happening for half a page and have characters talk about it for 5-10 pages.

A meeting of villains coinciding with a business/startup convention is fantastic.

So far the book has been pretty good! I’ve hit a few patches where the writing felt a little millennial, but I still enjoy the style. The cats are such a fun addition and the running of a villainous enterprise makes for some fun topics!

Good book so far, I’m tearing through it.
