I have mixed feelings…

This book is so aggressively subpar. I cant believe it’s famous. The writing… uninspired and unsubtle. The gender commentary… pedestrian. I cant wait to write my whole review.

I think first POV should be taken away from authors until they prove they can actually write… there’s a graf if this that literally goes, full Wattpad style, “i threw my hair up in a messy bun” WHO CARES???

I need to finish this in 28 hours and idk if i have the will… it’s just so nothingburger

Not as good as circe… pacing is a bit weird… achilles is a refreshing character. He knows he’s a bad bitch

I read part of this in a library, waiting to adopt a cat. And part of it in a book store waiting for dinner. It’s very good! Great narration — not used to third pov in a comic and it’s nice

Review of nightwing/huntress mini series: good plot! Good art. Over arcing “how do i get into (or out of!) this family.” Huntress was interesting, cant speak to whether she was in character. Nightwing was funny, a batman defender, capable. Is he too trusting, as this suggests? I think that certainly reappears in Devin Grayson’s future nightwing run (with Tarantula), so she believes it

The issues with Batman were great. And i appreciate how Dixon has multiple story lines going on at once. Unfortunately i will have to spend another day in the library to finish this behemoth. Which is okay, lol, i just feel guilty im not at the beach. And im sour that even when i do finish this i’ll have only made a dent in dixon’s run

First several issues of chuck dixon’s run are, of course, lovely. Nice build up with Blockbuster. Iconic to immediately cut off dg’s ugly ponytail. Nice angst (cant fail batman!) and humor. Dick and tim, brothers of all time. Devin Grayson’s annual was nice! Good/fun characterizations, cool premise (altho it requires dg to be a bit evil)

Found this in a library i dont have a card to. Attempting to marathon read it (i’ll prob have to come back to finish). Review of nightwing vol 1 by dennis o neal: weird plot! Good dg angst and humor but some weird characterization where he’s quite selfish. The foreign nation plot couldve easily been localized and thus felt less crazy. But nice parallels of father relationships to make dg think about his own 3.5/5

The voice acting in this audiobook is terrible. AND they all have texan accents so it’s even worse

Was listening to this at the beach and one of the main characters says (in a flashback/remembered story) to a homophobe “you couldnt catch this gay if you had tickets to Hamilton” which made me laugh out loud
