It’s such a good book but I read Isaac’s song first not realizing it was the sequel so like… I’ve kinda spoiled the book for myself

I somehow read this all in a few hours a review will come eventually. I have my complaints-.-

Am I just having. The worst luck ever reading rn? Cause like why is this book so disappointing. I LOVE dinosaurs I grew up watching these movie since before I could walk. I had dozens of science book abt dinos in elementary school why am I so bored by this book.

2012 came to visit and gave me this book. Somewhere in the time stream middle school me is very excited I’m finally able to get my hands on this.

I swear I completely disassociated the first time reading this book cause I read the entire thing in two hours and then had this feeling of suddenly being aware of my body and having no idea what I’d read… so yeah I’m not on page 108 and this books is just a good as all the other spires books and I need the next one 😭

… I don’t like this book everything feels over explained and the time travel mechanics are still deeply upsetting.

Im still so obsessed with the captive prince trilogy. I’ve been reading some random person’s rewrite of the whole series from Laurent’s perspective it’s so well written but is technically fanfic so I can’t really count it on here.

I love Issac so much I want an entire novel about his teenage years he’s so fascinating. I find myself apathetic towards the villain, his sister and largely the rest of the story. But Isaac’s bits are so good I can’t stop reading.

The detail of adding a pinch of lavender to his cigarette as he rolls it? Just lovely it’s delightful.

I’m still working on this one slowly bit by bit it really is lovely just a bit complex and hard to read a lot of it at once.

When my fiancé asked me what I wanted to do last night I don’t think he was anticipating me flat out begging to go to Barnes and nobles because I read the first book in one siting and NEEDED to continue the story. But he must in fact love me because I now hold both the second and third (final) book In my hands!

I’m in shock…how does the author want us to care about her mother, how does she want us to sympathize with her? How does the author write as if she as a teenager was in the wrong simply for wanting to be shown affection and be herself.

I love Lucie and Aiden both so much

This book is honestly wonderfully written but I’m getting increasingly frustrated with a rather minute and probably not overly important detail error.

They have mentioned by title several books when in the library cart and over half of the books wouldn’t have been published yet in 1970. For example A Wizard of Earthsea came out in 2004. 😫☠️

I’m angry I knew what this book was about I knew where it was going on page one but I’m livid over this book. The parallels to our current world situations is making me feel awfully French today.

This book is so unbelievably poorly written. The characters have zero depth it’s so bad it’s difficult to differentiate the murderer and the police officer. The dialogue is flat and lifeless. The writing is randomly disgustingly gory and the so called humor is just gross middle school boy toilet talk.

“Did you know it’s abnormal to be able to identify a person by their footsteps?…We had to pay attention to whether Mom and Dad were slamming doors or stomping down the stairs. We were tuned into their behavior, listening to warning signs that their tempers were rising. We were living in that house like frightened rabbits, twitching our ears to the sounds around us like prey in constant danger. “

Im so bored it started so strong and has become so boring

This is painful, this is heartbreaking, I can’t stop reading.

This books is making me terrified of ever being a mother…

I’m barely 14 pages in and this book is making me deeply uncomfortable it’s very well written but considering the topic? I can’t tell if that is cause for concern.
