I hate Alexis.

I kind of hate it. This book isn’t satire so Jesses behavior is abusive by any standard and Ava is a pushover who gives the reader glimpses of standing up for herself and then just rolls over because it’s easier… not my kind of FMC.

Im usually feral for anything by JEM but this one isn't doing it for me... 1) he's blonde, 2) his pet name for her is lady 3) the FMC is sort of a pushover - she never presses him for information but will distance herself based on assumptions, never examines why she just blindly complies with his commands
