So far I’m not really liking this couple. The fact that this chick is into Lego’s and skates.. it’s just a little weird to me and very unrealistic that a guy like him and a girl like her would ever be together in real life. And so far I’m not seeing any real chemistry. It’s all just kinda weird at this point but, I’ll keep going and see what happens.

I’m probably gonna finish it because I have OCD and I have a very hard time not finishing things but this is probably the 2nd worst book I’ve ever read in my entire life and I can’t believe this was written by Leigh Rivers because all the other books I’ve read by her, I loved!

So far, seems pretty dumb! But I’m gonna stick with it because I’ve enjoyed all Leigh Rivers other books I’ve read so.. we’ll see!

Re-reading ACOTAR because I already know I love it and I’m not in the mood to not enjoy a book again for a while. The last 3 were kinda let downs..

Since I’ve already read these, idk if I should mark as “reading” on here and count this towards my yearly books read goal or not? I feel like it’s cheating and I should only count new books toward that. 😂
Anyway.. first book of 2026! Here we go!

The couple in this book is definitely a bit more interesting and I really feel their connection/love a lot more than the couples in the previous 2 books of this series. However I still don’t think I’ll be continuing in either the rest of the books. I’ve just read so much better, the storyline is very similar with each book and I’m just kinda bored and forcing myself along here…🤷🏻‍♀️

Just popping in to say I can’t wait to be done either this book. It’s just as average as the first 2 and I’m so bored. I’m gonna finish it cause I paid for it, lol. But I won’t be finishing the rest of the series. These books are highly overrated. (No offense if you enjoyed them.) I do not understand the hype. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well, just like the first 2.. I’m really pushing myself here. I’m gonna finish this one but, I give up. I will not be completing the rest of the series. It’s not terrible but, I’ve read WAY better. And so far, all 3 of these book are basically the same thing over and over again. 80% smut 10% romance which.. isn’t that romantic honestly.. and 10% story. Decent story but, it’s just not enough for me.

Ok now this is getting kinda good. Definitely liking this one more than the first. The characters and storyline is way more interesting. It’s still like 80% smut. Lol! But, now towards the end here theres way more of an actual story and I’m into it!

This series is taken me forever to get through because I’m just not super intrigued. Both books so far are very middle of the road for me. They’re not so bad I wanna dnf but they’re also not ak good I can’t out them down. So, I’m gonna keep going but.. they’re definitely over rated imo, these 2 anyway. I will say though this one is better than the first. I like Criegh a lot more than Killian.

“Little Rabbit” “Little Purple” … is this suppose to be hot?! These are the stupidest freaking nicknames I’ve ever heard in my entire life. Im not saying it’s bad! The book is still just getting started. Im just saying the nicknames in the series so far are just… 🫠

Does it get better? I’m only on page 35 so I don’t wanna give up so soon but it’s been 3 days and I’ve only been able to read this much because I’m so uninterested.. maybe this is a me problem idk. This series is pretty highly rated so idk, maybe Im just crazy but the first book too, I was just expecting a little more. 🤷‍♀️

Oh my gosh!!! These 2 very literally bang every like.. 5-10 pages! It’s honestly getting a little ridiculous at this point. 😂🤦‍♀️

I just decided I don’t really love the mfc in this book. She’s not terrible but, she’s not really strong either, she comes off as a push over and has almost no personality. There’s just not much to her. Anyway aside from that the books still good.. holding my attention for the most part although I’ve heard better reviews about the rest in the series so, I can’t wait till I’m done with this one.

Idk why it’s taking me so much longer to read the last few books I have than it normally does but.. I’m able to follow this story and these characters a lot easier than I was with a couple of the others I’d recently read (Ali Hazelwood books..) This author is way better at describing people and scenes! And the storyline is definitely intriguing! I’m excited to keep going with this series!

Ummmm, wtf is happening?! How did we get here? I’m truly shocked and at a loss for words here. 😂🙈

Ok wait, this is actually getting so good! The tension and chemistry between these two is intense!!!!

I understand the mmc is a werewolf but, when I read romance, I’m use to these books usually like.. making me fall in love with the mmc! But it’s hard when he says things like “We eat our prey alive, We shove our noses up eachothers junk, We roll in shit to mask our scent.” And he’s constantly name calling people things like “Shitmuncher” It’s just not sexy. The book does have a good storyline though!

“Shitdump” and “Shartstain” really? As far as name calling goes.. like, just me personally, I’m good with like.. “Jerk” or “A-hole.” Ya know? It doesn’t have to be too crazy. Lol! What the heck is “Shitdump” and “Shartstain”?! I feel like I’m reading something a 12 year old came up with trying to be cool. But, only 9 pages in so, let’s not judge too soon, let’s see where this goes..

Im getting whiplash trying to figure out if these 2 are facing each other or not in this “knotting” scene. One min he seems to be Im back of her the next it’ll say something that indicates they’re face to face but at not point did it ever mention either of them turning around. Idk, the lack of description/details is just annoying. I can already say without finishing it this books a 3/5 stars at best.

“His heartbeat pounds on the back of my tongue as he guides my head to his neck.” …. Huh? The back of her tongue. Am I stupid? Cause the ridiculousness of what I’m picturing right now. Lmao! 🙈 This whole bath/closet spicy scene was just all kinda of awkward and hard to picture at times. I literally flipped back and reread it 3 times, I really tried but.. no, it was just not good. 🤷‍♀️

Ok so, it’s finally starting to get a little more interesting. I almost wanted to dnf in the beginning, but that’s always so hard for me because in the beginning of ACOTAR I was bored and also wanted to dnf and it turned out to be one of my favorite series ever. So, it takes a lot for me to give up on a book. And I almost did here but, it’s growing on me a bit now. So, let’s see where this goes..

This is my first Ali Hazelwood book.. are all her books this confusing? Her style of writing is just throwing me off here. It’s going back and fourth between past and present and I’ve read a lot of books that do that but she doesn’t even specify from chapter to chapter or anywhere that it’s doing that so I don’t even realize we’re in the past or memory until halfway through a chapter.. it’s annoying..

So far, it’s not terrible but, it’s weird.. Idk how I feel about it.

Overall, I’m still enjoying it, but I can understand why some people were disappointed by this one after reading the first one, the first was a romcom, this one is a bit darker.. and a lot more wild/weird as far as the smut goes! Like.. A LOT! But again, I’m still enjoying it for the most part. I really love the mmc! The main characters have really good chemistry and tension!!!

I know a lot of people didnt like this book as much as Lights Out but so far anyway Im intrigued. But it’s still early on so we’ll see where it goes!

Someone please tell me this is a joke…omg! I’m so annoyed! I can’t believe what I’m reading rn! This whole book is just beyond heartbreaking and frustrating as hell! I’m so upset! I can’t even go to the next page.. I feel like I need time first to just process and stare at the wall for a little bit and cry it out. 💔

I’ve never felt so conflicted over a book in my entire life. I thought the previous one in this series was hard.. they just keep getting more dark and depressing! It’s not a bad book/series. Like, The writer really knows how to keep you turning the pages and has me truly CARING about some of these make believe characters. But I also can’t wait for it to be over. It’s so sad!!! 💔😭

Is there any traumatic situation this girl hasn’t endured?! This so legit the saddest, most disturbing book I’ve ever read. Im gonna finish it because this is the last book in the series, so I’m pushing myself but.. the other books weren’t quite THIS crazy. Hunting Adeline made me depressed but.. I think this might be worse?! Or just as bas at least. Good lord! 💔😢

Wow. This is so disturbing. I mean,I kinda just flipped through the graphic content warnings because this whole series had it and while every book did have some really sad/dark content, this one is by far the most disgusting. Im debating not finishing, or at the very least flipping though some parts. Cause I wanna complete and see how this series ends, I’ve read all the other books, I wanna finish but.. omg.😢

So far liking this a lot more than I expected to. Idk why But in the first few books Gibsie was my least favorite character. I just couldn’t picture him being a romantic and interesting enough to have his own book but, wow was wrong! This book instantly shows you why he is the way he is and my heart is already in pieces here! 😩
