Getting exiting so far. At first we saw Lady Glyde have convulsions and die. Then we saw Walter return from Central America, pray at her tomb and find Lady Glyde standing next to him. Then we have Marian follow reports from servants that Abne Catherick was returned to the Asylum, only to find it wad her sister, Lady Glyde! And now Walter, Marian, & Laura are all held in hiding in East London.

Marian and Lady Glyde are moving to Londjn, away from her husband Sor Percival. Their final destination is meant to be Limmeridge House. But is Marian there? Has she recovered from Typhus?

It seems that Sir Percival has now married Miss Farlie. But not for love, for something materialistic. One day, he asked her to sit in the library and sign a document without looking at the terms. They refused and she walked away with her sister, Marian. After some digging, they later found this letter to be a request of £20,000 of Miss Farlie's inheritance. And now it seems, he may never get it?

Good read so far. Laurie wanted Sir Percival to end the engagement. But he instead accepted to continue it, as he says it was right to do so. This left Laurie forced to denounce her love for Walter, and Marian shocked.

Mr Gilmore wrote up the marriage settlement for Miss Farlie & Sor Percival Glyde. The only edit? Disinheriting Miss Farlie of twenty thousand pounds. By request of Sir Percival.

Mr Hartwright and Miss Halcomve venture to Todd's Corner to question what has transpired sith Anne Catherick. Unfortunately, they found Anne had left at 8am. But they heard she had taken ill and fainted. They questioned the reason behind this and grew curious. They eventually learned the Dairy maid has gossiped that visitors were coming to Limmeridge House; and Sir Percival Glyde.

Mr Hartwright has cased the village for answers on this old woman they saw. He spoke to everyone, from the Elderslie to the children. It was a child being disciplined that said he saw a ghost, hovering bear Mrs Farlies grave. Mr Hartwright has decided to stay the night and wait for this phantom to appear.

A letter arrives for Miss Farlie. It describes the fiancée, Sir Percival Glyde to accuracy. Mr Hartwrights heart ignites with fury at the possibility of the groom betraying his secret love. To investigate the mysterious letter, the duo first ask the gardener, who remembers nothing about the sender, but that she is old. Their next quest, to head into the Cumbrian village.

A great read so far. Love blooms in the teacher of drawings, and Laura Farlie. And affection subconsciously etched between them. Then a blow lands as Walter leaves she is engaged to another. But the woman in whites question rings in his ears. "Do you know any men with the rank of Baronet?" As Walter suddenly learns, Miss Farlie's betrothed, Sir Percival, is a Baronet.

Mr Hartweight has finally met with the daughters of Mr Farlie, and is working his way into the mystery at hand.
