Kind of slow, super repetitive book one nothing really happened in the plot.

Maverick hires cadence for a bartending position/waitress position. She is an owner of a SPCA kind of thing and the guys and girls of their family have all donated time and money to her organization she has debts from her grandmother having cancer and her grandfather dying. Her and her grandmother have been staying at the shelter with the dogs. When Maverick finds out he gives them an apartment in their building.
