lowkey feel like I cheated by re-reading to get to my goal but reading is reading ! The Secret Series is changed my psyche, massive core memories from childhood i don’t think I’d be the same person I am today if I hadn’t loved them so much back then. i’m defo not the same person I was when I first read them but life is strange and temporary and change is nature ! Allahu akbar .

i passed over this one back when it first was published cuz it didn’t capture my interest, and i think maybe i shoulda stuck with that. or at least read it back then maybe i would’ve liked it more

mayn i haven’t read a book in SO LONG but ever now and then I think I gotta get back on it. I’m basically just a podcast and youtube and shows girlie now tho it’s haaaard for me to read the way I used to 🥲 but sooo many good books out there. so I’ll once again set a Reading Goal not sure if I’ll actually make it. extremely angry and disappointed (but not surprised) to hear about US Supreme Court overturning Roe vs Wade, ending abortion as a guaranteed right and upending more than 50 years of settled law. This is a direct result of conservative Christian fundamentalists being appointed to the court. Fuck the patriarchy, fuck Christian extremism, and fuck this government.
