I have almost forgotten there was a murder. The MC cares so little about solving the case. Also, the women are poorly written.

Just picked this up and ready to read this month.

I love le Carre. This latest offering has a few quirks that are annoying me. I hate US spelling when the MC is British and UK spelling should be used. It's a small thing that pulls me out of the story. And his girlfriend is 40 years younger than the MC? Why?

Interesting writing craft book that is an enjoyable read.

A gorgeous book. The design of the book itself is a work of art.

A well-written book that is appalling. When we aren't subjected to his burn descriptions, we're pummeled with his porn career.

Difficult reading about the burns suffered.

I'm enjoying this more than I expected.
