i did say i would finally pick this up again before the end of the year...

this isn't a breakthrough of a book like i was expecting, but god if it isn't a bit of a mirror...

this book is so amazing to me for several rare reasons that's all i'm going to say.. read most of it in one sitting in the middle of the night today

i take back everything bc i said before. this story is much more macabre than i was expecting for a target audience of 8-12s, in a great way..... i was completely engrossed while reading this tonight, i read 200+ pages in a very long sitting... i'm hooked gang.............

predictably, i am reading another boxing novel. but this one's gooddd

this prose is not gripping me... oh no... but, no surprise, the illustrations are amazing

A longer read, but if you stick with the extended spotlights on disparate characters, you are rewarded most highly when their lives start to intersect.. because wow

alright i'm abandoning the previous book and reading this instead because life is too short and i love sports books so so much... more writers gotta be sports consumers c'mon it's fun! then you can write about it!

what can i say ... this book is a banger ... actually it has some weak patterns re writing, setting up its positions .. but i don't expect therapists to be masterful writers per se

feel like that part of oppenheimer where they're dropping the little marbles into the fishbowl

this book calls for uninterrupted hours alone for peak experience i think. which i have lacked for weeks. one of those reads where i'm thinking "will i ever finish this" even though i really like this book!!

onto the narrative now but loved the part where our guy asserted that we are intrinsic cowards before getting there Yum
