Recently. Will Smith has been rhe topic for many newpapers and magazines. Some may decide to listen to this book based on whether or not they agree with his actions. I am here to tell you that this is one of those "hate the messenger but not the message" reads. Will is a great storyteller whose stories are filled with timeless advice delivered in movie book for You can tell he produced this book as he would a movie.

"...our backs tell stories no books have the spine to carry". This collection of poetry is a love song to and for all those who have experienced love and lost and sufferred through the trauma of abuse. Some chapters will resonate with you while others speak words that, oneday, you will fight to remember. I really dont know how I missed this writer.

This book is a good read for those interesting in hearing about the effects of treating students like prisoners (for more info. research school to prison pipeline) or those who wish to get a glimpse into the world of protesting. However, the book was too long making it hard to follow in certain chapters.

Reads like a textbook but contains so many gems for people of color working in the library field.
